If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/13/12

Another week has passed us by, and what a week it’s been! Easter, school, parental visits – life is hectic sometimes. Thank goodness it’s Friday, and I’m even more thankful that there are some new episodes of my favorite shows to help me kick my weekend off right. Let’s see what you should be watching.

Megan’s Choice

Grimm is one of those shows that I love weekly and can’t wait to see. Last week, Juliette turned down Nick when he proposed because she felt like he was still hiding things – good deduction, girl. Nick is devastated, but she sticks to her guns. The case of the week was a little disturbing with the eating through the tube… Gross. Overall, Grimm is one of those shows that you have to watch regardless.

On tonight’s episode, “Love Sick,” Nick and Juliette join Hank for dinner, where Nick discovers Hank’s mystery date is none other than Adalind, the same Hexenbiest who tried to kill Aunt Marie. Meanwhile, Captain Renard takes matters into his own hands when a visit from foreign representatives of his royal bloodline threatens his position. Elsewhere, Monroe and Rosalee are called into action when the lives of Hank and Sgt. Wu hang in the balance.

To see how Nick balances out his personal feelings and work, tune in to NBC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Grimm @ Clicker.

Ratings for The Finder haven’t been very good at all, which kind of makes me sad. It’s far from my favorite show, but there are so many things I enjoy about it. I love Walter and Leo, I like Isabel, and I like the cases. Still not a huge fan of Willa’s, although every so often, she does something to redeem herself. Tonight’s episode looks fun, too, as Walter tries to save a marriage.

On tonight’s episode, “The Last Meal,” Joe and Annie, a once-happily married couple, ate at The Bella Plata restaurant every year on their anniversary, until mob boss Fico Vasquez closed it down. Now, to save his marriage, Joe asks Walter to help him find the meal over which he and his wife first fell in love. To do that, Walter must track down the restaurant’s chef, whom the mob also is looking for. Meanwhile, Willa gets thrown back in jail after getting into a fight with a girl who’s impersonating her.

Check it out tonight on FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Finder @ Clicker.

I’m also going to be watching/DVRing Grimm & Fairly Legal.

Kyle’s Choice

Last week’s Fringe was very Lincoln-centric. After Olivia inadvertently returned a gift Lincoln had given her out of love, he was looking for a way to get away. So when the alternate universe needed someone to deliver some files to them, he jumped at the opportunity. Lincoln helped the alternate Fringe division track down a shapeshifter who was killing only bad people in order to stay alive. Once captured, the shapeshifter revealed that he was working with David Robert Jones and that Alt-Nina was helping him out. Meanwhile, Alt-Lincoln was shot during the operation, but failed to recover. Fauxlivia was devastated at the news of the loss of her partner.

I was a little suprised at the death of Alt-Lincoln, especially since he was burned and hurt way worse the first time we met him and fully recovered. However, this should be an interesting turn of events for our Lincoln Lee. Now that he’s lost his Olivia and Fauxlivia has lost her Lincoln, will he stick around in the Alt-universe in hopes of finding a purpose? And now that Nina has been discovered, will David Robert Jones seek out a new insider to help him?

In tonight’s episode, “The Consultant,” Walter goes to the alternate universe to help with the probe of a Fringe event that affects both worlds. Meanwhile, David Robert Jones makes his next target known.

See it tonight on FOX at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Fringe @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Undercover Boss, Grimm, The Finder, Fairly Legal, In Plain Sight, and Magic City.

Lisa’s Choice

When we last left Mary and Marshall on In Plain Sight, Mary had to protect a bigamist that was on the run from his former boss. Juggling two wives was not an easy task and provided to almost break up both families. Mary and Mark continued to bicker about finding some help in the form of a nanny for baby Norah. Mary would constantly belittle and shoot down all of the choices Mark shared with her. Finally, Mark took initiative and since his mother had recently retired from her job as a principal, he called in the big guns. Marshall proposed to Abigail at the shooting range, and heaven help Marshall when Mary finds out about it!

On tonight’s new episode, “Drag Me to Hell,” Mary has to prevent a drag queen from reverting back to his old ways while Marshall is brought into an undercover sting operation.
