If We Control Your Remote… 4/30/12

It’s Monday, and there’s tons of great TV on to take away the sting of your first day back at work this week. I hope your Monday wasn’t too bad, but even if it was, just curl up and catch one of the many new episodes on tonight and that will help! Now, check out what we think you should be watching.

Jenny’s Choice #1

The last few episodes of Castle have been angsty and fun and sad and fantastic. Beckett and Castle are at odds, although Beckett isn’t sure why. Castle is hurt and angry that Beckett has been lying to him about not remembering everything about her shooting (and yet, he still hasn’t told her about continuing to work on her mother’s case…hypocrite much? lol). Last episode featured Castle working with Adam Baldwin’s Detective Slaughter. My favorite part of that episode was when Beckett had Castle’s back before he even asked. It’s all gearing up to one hell of a season ender next week, I guarantee it. And tonight’s episode, which I’ve been looking forward to since I heard about it, is going to get us primed and ready for the season finale.

On tonight’s episode, “Undead Again,” when Castle and Beckett investigate the murder of a man with human bite marks on his body, Castle’s wild theories start flying. But none are as wild as what their only witness insists happened – a Zombie attack. As the evidence pointing toward an undead assailant piles up, the team plunges into New York’s Zombie subculture to find the killer and bring him in – dead, undead, or alive.

Don’t miss it tonight on ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Castle @ Clicker.

Kyle’s Choice

Last week on Eureka, the Astraeus crew started to notice that things weren’t quite right. And once Holly posited a theory that was dead-on, she was immediately removed from the virtual world, effectively killing her in the real world. Meanwhile, Kevin built a device to help locate the Astraeus ship, but the crew was no longer there when Carter arrived. So Carter reviewed the launch footage for any clues and came to the conclusion that Senator Wen was somehow involved in the disappearance of the ship.

I was so sad to see Holly go – I really liked that character, and she and Fargo were perfect for one another! Can we hope that since this is Eureka, where stranger things have happened, that somehow, Holly really isn’t dead? I hope this doesn’t change Fargo from the fun guy he’s always been to a darker, more vengeful character. Will Carter and those in the real world be able to save the rest of the Astraeus crew? And will Beverly and Senator Wen get their comeuppance? This has been an amazing final season so far!

In tonight’s episode, “Force Quit,” Beverly Barlowe resurfaces in Eureka seeking Carter’s help to free the Astraeus crew, and the rescue plan lands Carter in the crew’s virtual world.

Catch it tonight on Syfy at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Eureka @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be recording/watching How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Castle, Smash, Bones, House, and Hart of Dixie.

Megan’s Choice (or Jenny’s Choice #2)

Megan has been gone on a road trip helping out a friend. She was planning to be back in time to do her part for this post, but it took a little longer than anticipated, so I’m going to do her recommendation for her. Why? Because it’s Hawaii Five-0. Not only is it a fun show and one we both love, but it’s also the first part of a 2-episode cross-over event with the cast of NCIS: LA. The last episode was a major one for Max, when the man who killed his birth mother nearly killed him, as well. Fortunately, Max and the team were able to take care of the serial killer before he could do any permanent harm to our favorite geeky medical examiner. Another great part of that episode was Kamekona thinking his shrimp truck had been stolen, when in reality, it had been impounded by the city when he didn’t pay for his business license or whatever. McGarrett was gone to Japan, searching for Shelburne, because he thinks Joe White was lying when he admitted to being Shelburne. (McGarrett’s portrayer, Alex O’Laughlin, went to rehab, and if what I’ve seen from tonight’s pictures, he’s still away. I thought he was only supposed to miss one episode, so maybe they counted him as being in the last episode because of the two minutes of screen time he got? *shrug*)

On tonight’s episode, “Pa Make Loa (Touch of Death),” Five-0 and the NCIS: Los Angeles task force team up in Hawaii when there’s a suspect on the loose who is threatening to release a deadly virus into the population. LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell guest star as NCIS Special Agents Sam Hanna & G. Callen.

See it tonight on CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hawaii Five-0 @ Clicker.

Lisa’s Choice

Smash left viewers abuzz and shocked last week when Karen became seduced by Rebecca’s glamorous lifestyle. Eileen’s ex-husband was introduced to her very handsome, much younger new boyfriend. Julia panicked when her son all of a sudden disappeared. “Bombshell” seemed to be crumbling and possibly all of everyone’s fighting efforts were for not. Can the musical about Marilyn be salvaged, or is it just another sinking ship?

Tonight, on “Tech,” Ivy worries that Derek is growing closer to “Bombshell’s” newest leading lady, Rebecca (Uma Thurman). Karen has to choose between Dev’s marriage proposal and the show, which doesn’t end well for either. Ellen and Julia fight over Michael’s possibile return, and Sam brings Tom to a family dinner.

Settle in for an hour that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish on NBC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Smash @ Clicker.

Tonight, I am also watching The Voice live performances!

Jenny’s Choice #3

Last week on Bones, Parker was back, and Booth and Bones were worried that he wasn’t reacting well to his new half-sister, Christine. I totally called it once we saw the mess of stuff in his closet, though… He’d made an adorable mobile for the baby, using pictures of them all plus other momentos of his dad’s & Brennan’s. The case was…ok. Not horribly exciting or memorable, The best part was the video of the little girl beating up the victim when he tried to hassle her. *laugh* I’m excited about tonight’s episode because we get more family moments! We’ve had Angela’s dad and Parker, and now we get Max, Brennan’s dad! All we lack now is Pops and seeing him with Christine. 🙂

On tonight’s episode, “The Family in the Feud,” when a corpse is found in the middle of the woods, the team links the victim to two families that have been feuding for almost a century. Brennan and Booth interrogate a family member with a shocking confession that leads them to a motive for the victim’s murder. Meanwhile, Brennan has a difficult time accepting her father’s offer to babysit their infant daughter because of his unpredictable presence in her own childhood. Ryan O’Neal guest stars.

Watch the Hatfields & the McCoys tonight (hah!) tonight on FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Bones @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’m also going to watch/DVR How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Two and a Half Men, Mike & Molly, Eureka, & Diners, Drive-ins & Dives.
