If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/2/12

It’s hump day! Whether you take that literally (& if so, have fun & congrats! lol) or figuratively, we’re mid-way through a great week of television. It does mean we’re that much closer to the end of the season for all our favorite Fall/Spring shows, though, which is sad. 🙁 Ah well. That also means the summer season starts soon! For tonight, read on to find out what we think you should be watching!

I have really fallen in love with Law & Order: SVU again this season. The addition of Kelli Rollins & Danny Pino has been great, and I may be in the minority, but I’m so glad Stabler is gone. He was…unstable (*laugh*) a good majority of the time at the end. It’s nice having Benson back to being in every episode, too. I am sad that Olivia & the ADA broke up. I wasn’t surprised, really, because that’s a hard relationship to have, when he’s a lawyer she has to interact with a lot on the job, but still…

On the last episode, there was a rapist running loose, and the neighborhood was up in arms that the police were unable to catch him. When a woman was being attacked, a vigilante in superhero costume stepped in, beat him up, and chased him off. They were able to trace that attempted rapist back to a teenage, Asian, Jehovah Witness. After arresting him and questioning him, they realized he was a copy-cat, not the man who had already raped five women. (Just a quick question… Who in their right mind wants to copy-cat a rapist?? Sick, sick bastard, I’ll tell you.) They finally caught the bad guy, but only after the attempted rapist teenager was beaten & strung up by the vigilante group calling themselves the JLNY (Justice League New York), who they themselves were attacked. And Amaro watched his wife (who he’s suspected is having an affair) have lunch with a guy, and then turned around the next day and confronted him, punching him and telling him to stay away from his wife. Of course, then his wife stormed into the precint, screaming at him. She told him she isn’t having an affair, that she is seeing a shrink, and the guy she had lunch with is just her friend, that she can talk to him, because she can’t talk to her husband. It was a crazy, crazy episode.

On tonight’s episode, “Father Dearest,” Detectives Benson and Amaro investigate the disappearance of a teenaged girl after her young brother calls 9-1-1. While Fin and Rollins look into a possible abduction, they discover the girl had been searching for her biological father, an anonymous sperm donor. The investigation takes a startling turn when a suspect is found to be targeting several young, vulnerable women, all with the same personal connection. But the suspect isn’t what he seems, and Dr. Huang must delve into his past to save the women. Eric Close (Without a Trace & Chaos) and James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek & Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23) guest star!

Don’t miss it tonight on NBC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Law & Order: SVU @ Clicker.

The Hamptons were set ablaze last week on Revenge when Declan’s testimony in court marked the beginning of his self-destructive relationship with Charlotte. He testified that Charlotte was on drugs the night of Tyler’s murder and that he did not see a hooded figure over the body. The pawns in Victoria’s game were caught in the middle of an insidious cover-up, and they ended up paying the price. The man that Victoria hired to set up Daniel’s attack in prison took the fall for Tyler’s murder and ended up hanging from his jail cell. Daniel grew jealous over Emily’s ongoing relationship with Jack and broke the boundaries of his ankle monitor restriction and was sent back to jail.

On an all new episode, “Absolution,” the impending release of Daniel has everyone in the Hamptons on edge as the press grows more and more hostile. The SEC begin their investigation on Grayson Global. Meanwhile, Emily uncovers a new photo taken of her father on the day of his death. This leads her to more clues about how he died as well as to a mystery woman and a very ominous new target.

Watch ABC at 10/9c for another chilling night! Learn where to find episodes online of Revenge @ Clicker.

I have loved Criminal Minds since the very first season. It’s my go to favorite show. There has been plenty about it I haven’t enjoyed, such as Prentiss and JJ leaving or how long it’s taking for Garcia and Morgan to hook up – but for everything I haven’t loved, there’s more that I do. The past few episodes, we’ve seen some solid moments between Garcia and Morgan – especially in the recent episode about his cousin. Garcia was really his rock, and I loved it. I have to admit that when it comes to this show, I am a shipper all the way – and I want my favorite people together. We all have dreams. 😉

On tonight’s episode, “Divining Rod,” after a notorious serial killer is executed, a copycat begins murdering women in the same Oklahoma town and in the same fashion, and the BAU team must act fast before more victims are found. Also, Prentiss is nervous at the thought of a major real estate purchase.

To see if the team saves the day as usual, tune in to CBS at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Criminal Minds @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching American Idol, Law & Order: SVU, Suburgatory, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23, and CSI.

Last time on The Middle, the Hecks attended a new church where the sermon of “get your business done” inspired the whole family. Mike completed his business by calling his dad, Brick hustled Axl out of all of his possessions in order to get a bed, completing Axl’s business, as well. Sue decided to start her own babysitting business but had some trouble with the 14-year-old she was in charge of. Finally, Frankie realized her business was catching up on sleep during the long sermons at their own church.

Lately, we’ve only been getting like one new episode a month of the Wednesday ABC comedies, so I’m happy to see The Middle return tonight with all new episodes through the end of the season! The Hecks are always a lot of fun and are a great lead-in for the rest of the night. It’s a shame there are only three more weeks left this season.

In tonight’s episode, “The Guidance Counselor,” Sue bonds with her gawky guidance counselor, who inspires her to make some changes. Elsewhere, Frankie’s displeased that Mike wants to assemble their new bed by himself; and Brick wants to complain to the U.S. president about student-fitness goals. Whoopie Goldberg guest stars.

See the new episode tonight on ABC at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Middle @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Survivor, Criminal Minds, CSI, Suburgatory, Modern Family, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23, Revenge, Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis, and Total Blackout.

When we last left Don’t Trust The B—- in Apt 23, Chloe had adopted a foster child by using her name and June’s and used the child as her secretary to schedule dates with foreign dignataries. June was trying to juggle doing an internship that was unpaid and her job at the coffee shop. Meanwhile, James had signed on to do a body swap movie that was co-starring Mad Men’s super-talented star, Kiernan Shipka. Unfortunately, when he and Kiernan had a playdate, the two didn’t gel very well and when filming on the movie started, the chemistry just wasn’t there.

Tonight, on “The Wedding,” when a wedding invitation addressed to June and her ex-fiance leaves her down in the dumps, Chloe tries to give her more confidence and ends up doing too good of a job.

What does Chloe have up her sleeve? Find out at 9:30/8:30c on ABC. Learn where to find episodes online of Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23 @ Clicker.

Tonight, I am also watching The Middle, Modern Family, and Suburgatory.

Aww, I was so bummed last week watching Hot in Cleveland when Joy’s dying boyfriend/fiance learned just moments from saying “I do” that he had two years, rather than three months, to live. I mean, that’s great, but it also meant that there was no wedding and no more George. Still, I guess it makes sense. Having her get married would have changed the show completely. Then on Happily Divorced, Fran realized she found sitting around watching TV and doing puzzles with Peter boring, so when she met rugged, outdoorsy guy Adam at a special singles only party, she thought she’d hit the jackpot. Of course, then he took her camping, she scattered trail mix for all the cute little woodland creatures, and ended up attracting a bear (which turned out to be just a racoon)…and then she sprayed Adam in the face with pepper spray. She couldn’t drive his stick shift, so she had to call Peter to come pick them up and take him to the hospital. *laugh* So much for change. At the end of the episode, she was right back where she’d been…only this time, she thought things were a bit different and she was happy. Made me laugh cause it didn’t make sense to me, but it did to her, so I guess it works. lol

On tonight’s episode of Hot in Cleveland, “The Gateway Friend,” the girls have to get their L.A. friend Courtney (Kristin Chenoweth, Glee, Pushing Daisies) back together with her Beverly Hills dermatologist boyfriend, Dr. Minton (Jonathan Silverman, The Single Guy), or face the prospect of never getting an appointment with him again. Special guest star is Cleveland Brown’s Josh Cribbs.

Then on tonight’s episode of Happily Divorced, “Time in a Bottle,” Fran jogs everyone’s memory about what it was like after eighteen years of marriage, that finally gave Peter the courage to come out two years ago. In the process, however, she realizes that some stones are best left unturned.

See them tonight on TV Land at 10/9c & 10:30/9:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hot in Cleveland & Happily Divorced @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’m also going to be watching/DVRing Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, Suburgatory, Modern Family, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23, Restaurant: Impossible, & Total Blackout (which is a total blast to watch!).
