If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/4/12

Friday is that day of the week that we all look forward to because it’s the start of the weekend – and what a weekend it’s going to be. I’m going to be designated driver on Saturday for a Stag and Doe party; I will be going armed with garbage bags, water, and gravol, just in case. (Eww… I hate drunk people.) Anyway, tonight, I will be kicking back and relaxing, watching some excellent television. Let’s see what we think you should be watching.

Grimm is one of those shows that makes my world a better place. I love getting lost in the plots, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than the mythology of the creatures. The writing is entertaining with just enough humour to balance out the drama and violence. If you haven’t given this supernatural show a chance, you have been missing out on so much. The twisted plots, a sexy cast, and just a general good time; your Friday nights won’t seem as “grim” if you tune in to watch.

On tonight’s episode, “Happily Ever Aftermath,” this classic Cinderella tale takes a very dark turn; Nick and Hank are called to investigate the mysterious death of a wealthy matriarch after her stepdaughter loses everything in a Ponzi scheme. Meanwhile, Juliette does some digging into the mysterious death of Nick’s parents in an effort to help him find closure.

To see what happens after the happily ever after, tune in to NBC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Grimm @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching and recording Supernatural, CSI: NY, Blue Bloods, The Finder, and Fairly Legal.

I am so sad that the season is almost over for The Finder. As much as I’d like it to, I don’t have a lot of faith that it will be renewed. So that’s why I’m really enjoying each episode we are getting. Like last week, when Walter refused a case when one of Isabel’s friend’s father died. It took a lot of convincing, and when finding the murderer and murder weapon didn’t entice him into taking the case, Isabel mentioned that her friend’s inheritance was missing. That made Walter sit up and listen. The case took them to the race track and eventually led to them finding a ticket worth over $200,000. Walter was sweet to Isabel’s friend when he told her it’s ok to be sad when someone you love is gone. I’m not sure what Willa is up to now…and I’m still going back and forth some weeks, trying to figure out if I like her or not! LOL

On tonight’s episode, “Voodoo Undo,” Xavier Obispo (guest star Nestor Serrano, 90210, 24), a mob boss in Miami, asks Walter to find a voodoo doll he is convinced was created to be used against him. Willa and Walter, a non-believer in witchcraft, visit a witch who is annoyed by the fact that Walter does not take her art seriously, but decides to help them find the person that could have created the doll, leading them to a surprising participant in the mob boss’ situation. Meanwhile, Isabel and Miami Det. Curtis Gillespie (guest star Chris Tardio) risk their lives while investigating a gang fight at a funeral linked to Xavier.

Find out if Walter gets freaked out by the voodoo stuff tonight on FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Finder @ Clicker.

Tonight is the first half of the two-part Fringe season finale. Last week, the Fringe teams joined forces to try to stop David Robert Jones plan to destroy both their worlds. They discovered Jones was using former Cortexiphan children and their alt-doubles to tune both universes to the same frequency, and this was causing worlds-wide earthquakes in the process. Time was running out, and the Fringe teams were not able to locate Jones, so the only choice was to shut down the bridge between the universes, cutting off all contact with one another.

This has been an amazing season, and David Robert Jones has been such a great villain. Who knew he was going to play such a pivotal role in the show when he was first introduced for a small arc back in season 1?! While I highly doubt either world will be destroyed, it will be exciting to see how this all plays out. Will they be able to reopen the bridge? And how will they stop Jones if they can no longer communicate?!

In tonight’s episode, “Brave New World,” Walter reluctantly revisits his painful past after terrifying cases of spontaneous human combustion. Meanwhile, the future of both universes is at stake when the Fringe team faces David Robert Jones in the mother of all battles.

See it tonight on FOX at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Fringe @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Grimm, The Finder, Supernatural, Fairly Legal, In Plain Sight, Magic City, The Ricky Gervais Show, and Undercover Boss.

Tonight, In Plain Sight, an incredibly thrilling series that has been a fan favorite, is coming to an end. Mary and Marshall have their last moments together in Albuquerque kicking ass and providing tons of snark while doing it. This buddy-buddy duo faces possible separation as WITSEC looks at an impending shake up. Will Marshall and Mary take the plunge into more than friends territory? Will Mary keep her family out of jeopardy, and where will the end of her story lead fans? Tears will be shed, mouths will drop, and the sun will set. Love, laughs, and ass kickings all go down in the last new episode.

The series comes to a close as Mary is caught between a witness and an unexpected family reunion. Also, changes take place around the WITSEC office.

Say goodbye and bon voyage at 10/9c on USA. Learn where to find episodes online of In Plain Sight @ Clicker.

I am also watching Fairly Legal and Who Do You Think You Are? tonight!

Last week’s Nikita was sad but sweet, really showing the bonds this group have formed. Nikita convinced Birkhoff to put up all his money ($20 million!) in order to trap Percy so they could steal his, thereby taking Percy down. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned, and not only did Birkhoff’s money go bye-bye, he froze in the middle of a gunfight, and Nikita got shot in the shoulder because of it. After shooting Carla, it makes sense that he would have a little PTSD. Later, Birkhoff got arrested when he went online to hack the federal government, not knowing they were watching for his alias, Shadow Walker. Nikita went undercover into the police station, knowing she had to get him out of there before Percy and Division got to him. She got him out, but they were confronted by Percy’s men after leaving the station. This time, he didn’t hesitate to shoot, taking down one of Percy’s men and saving Nikita from being killed by another. In the end, Alex gave Birkhoff $1 million of her own money from her father’s company. It was a great episode, with great talks between Michael & Alex and Nikita & Birkhoff.

On tonight’s episode, “Dead Drop,” when it looks like Percy’s nuclear weapons plan is getting out of control, Ryan suggests they go to the Director of the CIA, Morgan Kendrick (guest star Brian Howe, Journeyman), for help. Nikita is vehemently opposed to the plan and is surprised when Michael takes Ryan’s side. Tensions escalate when Nikita is proven right after they discover Kendrick has a link to Percy. Meanwhile, Sean is shot by Percy’s men, shaking Alex to the core.

Don’t miss it tonight on The CW at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Nikita @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’m also going to be watching/DVRing Grimm, CSI: NY, & Blue Bloods.
