If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/15/12

It’s Friday, thank goodness. I can’t wait until the weekend, which starts tonight. There’s not a lot on tonight, but Kyle & I both decided we had something to share, so read on to find out what we think you should be watching tonight.

Jenny’s Choice

My recommendation tonight is the new episode of Mystery Diners on Food Network. I’ve seen shows like this before, but I kind of love this one. Basically, when a restaurant owner has a problem, they call a man named Charles Stiles, who comes in with a group of people he calls his Mystery Diners. Stiles sets up cameras throughout the restaurant, and then the Mystery Diners go in “undercover” as not only customers, but also employees. One of my favorite episodes so far was the chef who was running his own catering company out of the restaurant he worked at…using that restaurant’s food & supplies like to-go boxes! It was crazy.

The show is just too much fun to watch…just something easy breezy to watch when you want to relax and shut off your mind. If you haven’t seen it, you should definitely check it out.

On tonight’s episode, “Managing Disaster,” the owner of Amaro Italian Bistro seeks the help of Charles Stiles and the Mystery Diners because he believes his manager is acting inappropriately with the staff and picking favorites based on appearance. Mystery Diners Destiney and Sarah go undercover and interview for a new waitress position to see if the manager will hire an attractive waitress over a qualified one.

Check it out tonight on Food Network at 10/9c.

Tonight, I’m also going to be watching Good Luck Charlie & Common Law.

Kyle’s Choice

Tonight, another season of Fairly Legal comes to a close. Last week, Kate and Justin were riding in a limo with Claudia Alvez, a Brazilian singer/activist, when the car was hit. Someone had planted drugs in the vehicle and caused the accident so that Claudia would be arrested, silencing her protests. The presence of drugs also didn’t help Justin’s campaign at all. Meanwhile, Lauren fell for a billionaire businessman she was negotiating with, but when they argued over his estranged relationship with his son, it looked like the fairy tale was over. And once the charges against Claudia were cleared, Justin told Kate it was finally over between them.

I really hope this is the end of Justin and Kate. I hate the whole are they or aren’t they thing that keeps getting dragged out – just make up your minds! Ben and Kate make a fun pairing, though I’m not sure about them having a romantic relationship. I like how they are always at odds, and that provides some fun banter and situations. However, it is great to see that Ben does actually care about someone other than himself.

In tonight’s episode, “Finale,” Kate looks into the firing of a lesbian couple and uncovers a scandal that could involve DA Davidson. Meanwhile, Kate is forced to choose between Justin and Ben.

See the finale tonight on USA Network at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Fairly Legal @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Common Law.
