If We Controlled Your Remote… 7/31/12

I’m having so much fun watching the Olympics—well, specifically gymnastics, swimming, & diving. I’ve been surprised by a lot of things so far this year. Michael Phelps isn’t doing as well as I would have expected or had hoped, there was a big shocker at the women’s gymnastics concerning the All-Around… But I’ve been enjoying it all. 🙂 Still, there are other things on tonight, so let’s see what we think you should be watching. 🙂

This season of Covert Affairs has been so different. Jai is dead. Annie has secret feelings for Auggie. Auggie is now engaged to his girlfriend, Parker—who Auggie had to read in so she knows he’s CIA. And Annie’s sister Danielle is reconciling with her husband and moving. Whew! Last week was fun. Auggie, Parker, and two friends of hers from the Peace Corps were kidnapped. The best parts of it were when they had to jump over to the other building and when Annie knew what Auggie would do—and she was right there when he called in to his old office. My biggest complaint about the episode was what I’ve said since the premiere: Annie’s relationships with Joan & Lena. It’s like Annie has suddenly become a puppet for Lena, and I hate that. Up until the end, when she fought for the fact that she knew Auggie best, she was siding solely with Lena, and it pissed me off. Lena is changing Annie—she doesn’t have the loyalty to Joan that I loved in the first two seasons, and she’s gotten heavily involved with an asset.

The last two episodes have been pretty Auggie heavy, but I’ve read that the last few minutes of tonight’s episode changes him and takes him to a dark place for the season. What it is, I have no idea—and to tell the truth, I’m scared to find out!

On tonight’s episode, “Speed of Light,” as the CIA and FBI both investigate a break-in at a high-tech company, Annie reaches out to FBI agent Vincent Rossabi in the hopes of finding out what the thief stole and how it relates to her current assignment for Lena. But her mission quickly becomes more complicated when Simon unexpectedly shows up in D.C. Sarah Clarke, Richard Coyle, Anne Dudek, & Noam Jenins guest star.

My choice tonight is the new show All the Right Moves, which follows Travis Wall (So You Think You Can Dance), Teddy Forance (Dancing with the Stars), Nick Lazzarini (So You Think You Can Dance), and Kyle Robinson (Dancing with the Stars), while they launch their new dance company called, “Shaping Sound.” They are going to try to change the world of dance forever by helping background dancers have a chance to shine.

I am super excited for this show because I adore Travis Wall, and I also enjoy Nick Lazzarini—together, they are going to be hilarious and awesome. The idea of a reality show that follows people I am actually interested in is astounding, and I can’t wait.

On tonight’s series premiere, “Breaking Ground on Shaping Sound,” Travis, Nick, Teddy, and Kyle team up to create their new dance company, “Shaping Sound.”

To see the adorable boys succeed, tune in to Oxygen at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of All the Right Moves @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing Jane By Design, The Glee Project, and 2012 Olympics.

Tonight, the first season of Jane By Design comes to an end. Last week, Jane and Billy planned to host the party of the century now that they had free reign over the house. However, at the last minute, Jane had to go to London to try to convince Jeremy to return to Donavan Decker and help them close the Harrod’s deal. Back at the party, Billy and Zoe reconciled over the “colossal waste of time” comment made by Billy in the previous episode. Meanwhile, Eli thought Jane was pushing away from him, and so he slept with India. And Billy tried to clean up the house after the party, but Rita discovered the truth about Mrs. Quimby when she stopped by for a spot check on Jane.

So tonight’s the season finale, and there are so many questions. What will happen to Jane now that Rita knows she has no adult supervision? Has Billy really moved on to Zoe, or does he still have feelings for Jane? What will Jane do when she finds out about India and Eli? Will Jeremy return, and will he be able to save Donovan Decker from its financial woes? They should really call this show “There’s Something About Jane,” because she always seems to have several guys after her, and everything always seems to work out for her! I haven’t seen any renewal news yet, so I hope tonight is not the last we will see of this fun, quirky show!

In tonight’s episode, “The Bonus Check,” Jane finances the school play with the funds from her bonus check and gets her coworkers to help make the costumes, but then she realizes the high personal cost of this endeavor.

See the finale tonight on ABC Family at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Jane By Design @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording the Workaholics season finale, Rizzoli & Isles, Franklin & Bash, White Collar, Covert Affairs, The Glee Project, and Chopped.
