Happy hump day!! I know most of you who read this site are American, so congrats on the USA showing at the Olympics—but I’d like to shout out to the Canadian team. We may not be raking in the medals (4 at the time I type this), but we have had a few personal bests, and I am so incredibly proud of the girls gymnastics team—Amazing job, girls! Now that I’ve boasted about my home country, let’s see what you should be watching tonight.

I don’t usually enjoy real crime shows, but Final Witness has been keeping my attention from the very beginning. The way they tell the story from the perspective of the victim is amazing and often heartbreaking. The very first episode with the story about the girl who murdered her own family was incredibly well told, to the point that I was in tears. Okay, so that doesn’t sound like feel good television, but seeing the criminals come to justice always softens the drama of it all. It’s really worth your time.
On tonight’s episode, “A Mother’s Revenge,” the mother of a young man who was found dead in a field is the driving force behind the investigation that brings his killer to justice and reveals a hidden world of gang rivalries and ruined lives.
To see justice realized, tune in to ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Final Witness @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing Baby Daddy, Top Chef Masters, and the 2012 Olympics.

As much as I love Baby Daddy, I’m giving another show my pick tonight. The Exes has been fantastic this season. I loved season one, so it’s no surprise that I’ve been enjoying this season, as well. (Plus, they have a cute new intro theme song that I love to sing along to! LOL) Last week, Stuart wanted to enter a dance contest that he and his ex-wife used to do together but now she’s doing with a new partner. Holly volunteered, and when she sounded confident that she could do it, Stuart agreed—which ended up being an issue because Holly royally sucked. She had taken dance when she was young, but her mother had pulled her out for being so bad. It ended up working well for him because Holly slipped and fell, and Haskell—who had learned to dance when he was forced to dance with his mother—partnered up with Stuart. Also, Phil met his match when a woman he had over for what he thought was a one-night stand ended up making excuses herself for not seeing him again. It was funny to watch his reactions to it all.
On tonight’s episode, “Three Men and a Maybe,” the guys help Holly look for sperm donors when she finds out her biological clock is running out.
Laugh along with it tonight on TV Land at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Exes @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy, Cajun Pawn Stars, Top Chef Masters, The Soul Man, Retired at 35, Royal Pains, & Restaurant Impossible.

Sometimes, I like to highlight some of the smaller or more obscure shows that I enjoy watching. So tonight, I’m recommending you check out the History Channel’s relatively new series Picked Off. It’s like American Pickers meets Chopped. Each episode starts off with four teams of two who are given $100 and a location (yard sale, estate sale, etc.) to purchase one item they believe is worth the most money. The team whose item is appraised for the least by brothers Todd and Ethan Merrill is eliminated. The remaining teams are then given cash equal to the appraised value of their items and three leads where they can shop for a new item. The objects are appraised, and one more team is eliminated. In the final round, the remaining two teams can go anywhere in the state to spend their money, and the pair that ends up with the most expensive item wins $10,000.
What I like about this show is that it mixes the interesting parts of American Pickers with the fun of a competition reality show. You get to see interesting items and learn of their providence and value. But you also get to see a lot of varied approaches on how these contestants go about making deals, or how they try to prevent their competitors from making their own deals or getting time with the salespeople. It’s a fun and interesting show and worth checking out—especially if you are one of those people who tends to find yourself sucked into those late night marathons of shows like American Pickers, Pawn Stars, and Storage Wars!
In tonight’s episode, “Radio Fight,” a football jersey, a retro radio, and motorcycle items come into play when four teams of pickers compete in Alabama.
Check it out tonight on History Channel at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Picked Off @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Big Brother, Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy, Dallas, Royal Pains, and Futurama.
