If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/30/12

Good gravy, who turned up the heat?? I don’t know about you, but I’m not digging the hundred degree temperature outside again! I thought we were finished. I suppose it could be worse, though… At least I haven’t been in Isaac’s path! Still like yesterday, I’ll be planted on my couch in front of the TV tonight with the fan on. You?

Jenny’s Choice

You know, I realized something as I was thinking of what to write up for this post. I tend to really love shows that are just…wrong. lol There are some shows (comedies…) that are just so WRONG, they’re right. Raising Hope is a good example of a network comedy like that. But tonight, I wanted to recommend Sullivan & Son on TBS. The jokes and characters can be racist and stereotypical, but it makes me laugh. I find it amusing when it’s ON TELEVISION. I certainly don’t make those jokes in real life, and when I hear them, I don’t laugh. But on TV? the show just cracks me up. Maybe it’s wrong, but…I’m ok with that. haha

On tonight’s episode, “How Carol Got Her Groove Back,” Carol falls into a funk when she learns she’s going through menopause. In an attempt to convince Carol she’s still attractive, Ahmed crosses a line.

Laugh along with me tonight on TBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Sullivan & Son @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Rookie Blue, The American Bible Challenge, Beat the Chefs, & Extreme Chef.

Megan’s Choice

Rookie Blue has been having a very good season, even despite the relationship messes it’s been making. I honestly didn’t think they’d kill off a regular like Jerry, but I hope that Traci embraces the pain and moves on to be a kick-ass detective in the end because that’s what Jerry would have wanted. Sam and Andy is a drama that I am not enjoying—and I really hope they aren’t going to end up putting Andy with Nick. That would suck. Dov got his ass handed to him by those thugs in the streets, and I hope that they move this story line about him and the victim’s sister ahead a bit faster because so far, it’s been boring.

On tonight’s episode, “Every Man,” a prisoner pulls a gun on Chris in the station. Meanwhile, Gail struggles to recover from her traumatic abduction.

To see if Gail can shake the post-traumatic stress, tune in to ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Rookie Blue @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing Saving Hope, The Next, and Extreme Chef.

Kyle’s Choice

Tonight is another eviction on Big Brother. Frank’s nominations on Sunday made no sense if he really wanted to secure Dan’s exit. He shouldn’t have even asked Ian about putting him up. Ian held the extra veto, so the logical move would have been to nominate Ian, force him to use his veto to take himself off the block, and backdoor Dan.

Last night was an amazing episode. Just when Frank was about to win power of veto, he cheated by giving Britney the answer to the Draw Something puzzle and was eliminated. Jenn ended up winning the veto. Dan faked a breakdown and hosted his own Big Brother Funeral, declaring that Danielle was dead to him for some mysterious thing that she did. Dumbfounded, Danielle started bawling. Then Dan went to Frank and told him everything about the Quack Pack and sold out Ian and Britney for their plans to eliminate him. Then Dan struck a final 4 deal for him and Danielle with Frank and Jenn.

Ian decided not to use his veto, but Jenn used hers to save Dan, and Britney was put up in his place. Ghaaa, I really hate Frank and want him gone! I hope that Britney somehow makes it through tonight (sorry, Danielle) and she, Ian, and Shane take out Frank next week!

Catch it tonight on CBS at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Big Brother @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Rookie Blue, Saving Hope, Wilfred, Awkward., Childrens Hospital, and NTSF:SD:SUV::.
