If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/6/12

I was so excited to get a “save the date” yesterday for Syfy’s annual Digital Press Tour event next month. I’ve never been invited to it before, but it always sounds like a great time. This year, they have moved it to Toronto, and it will include set visits for Warehouse 13 and the upcoming new series Defiance. I can’t wait to report back from that trip. Tonight’s new TV choices are a little slim, but we’ve got recommendations for you to check out. Next week, the fall season really starts to kick in, so enjoy this break before the madness!

On Big Brother, Ian became Head of Household and nominated Jenn and Frank. Last night, it was the veto competition, and Dan conquered Otev’s mountain to win the golden power of veto. He decided to take Jenn off the block, and Ian put up Joe as her replacement.

Both Ian and Frank gave Dan their blessing to use the Veto. I don’t understand why Frank thinks he can get the votes to stay over Joe! I really hope that Frank finally goes home tonight, quickly followed by Joe and Jenn. I would love to see Dan and Ian in the final two, with Ian taking home the prize.

In tonight’s live episode, either Frank or Joe will be evicted from the house. Plus, it’s another double-eviction episode, where a whole week’s worth of Big Brother will be played in one hour, leaving us with the final five.

See who goes home tonight on CBS at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Big Brother @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Rookie Blue, Collection Intervention, Childrens Hospital, and NTSF:SD:SUV::.

I recommended Sullivan & Son last week, and I wanted to do it again tonight. Last week was so funny…and vaguely disturbing. lol When Carol realized she’d hit menopause, Ahmed started trying to make her realize she was a beautiful, vibrant woman, and in the process, they spent the night together. That came with several problems. One was Owen, Carol’s son, who was upset that his friend had slept with his mother…and that ended with a punch to the face or a punch to the junk, Owen’s choice. At first, he didn’t want to do it, claiming he didn’t want to let it go, but he eventually got in a junk punch—and what man wouldn’t feel better after that? LOL The other problem was Ahmed himself. He came out of the night with Carol thinking they had a future, but she had come out of it thinking of it as a one night stand. So poor Ahmed got his heart broken. The whole episode was a hysterical.

On tonight’s episode, “The Prodigal Sister,” Steve’s aunt, who happens to be a master at the confidence game, pays the bar a visit and causes some trouble. Doug attemps to find his lost charm. Susan talks to Ok Cha about her tendency to be very critical of other people. Kerri Kenney (Reno 911!) guest stars.

Tonight, I’m also going to be watching/DVRing America’s Got Talent, Rookie Blue, & Extreme Chef.

Megan’s Choice

Rookie Blue is wrapping up an emotional season, and I am not ready for it to end yet! I have loved the ups and downs this season, and I am really looking forward to seeing what happens with Gail. Chris having a son was an out-of-the-blue story line, but if I can see any of them as parents (besides Traci), he’d have been my pick. Dov needs to get away from Crystal Marks as soon as possible because she is going to ruin him. As far as Sam and Andy, I’m not sure where they are going to go, but we all know that love like that doesn’t disappear out of the blue.

On tonight’s finale, “I Never,” in the third-season finale, Andy and Swarek face off with a violent child abductor. Meanwhile, Chris contemplates a transfer request.

Wipeout is like Oh Sit! was yesterday—one of those shows I wouldn’t watch in the normal TV season. But this show can be very entertaining, and John Anderson and John Henson are great hosts. This season, they brought in Vanessa Minnillo as co-host, and her interviews can be hilarious at times.

On tonight’s episode “Rats!” 24 new contestants will race past Grandma’s Little Helper, Groovy Gillis, The Dental-man and The Big Red Balls as they compete for $50,000.

See who wins tonight on ABC at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Wipeout @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Project Runway.
