I have to go with CBS tonight. I’ve been looking forward to the season premiere of NCIS since the moment the finale ended last season. The latest addition to the wall of the “Most Wanted” blew up the NCIS building! Ducky had a heart attack when he was—seemingly—alone on the beach! Eek. Will everyone make it out of the explosion alive? Will someone find Ducky before the ocean swallows him up? I know the answer to both of those questions because I’ve seen the premiere, and it is really great. It’s actually kind of shocking at one point… Something happens that I wasn’t prepared for at all. I won’t spoil what it is, but once you watch, let me know if you can pick out that moment I’m talking about. 😉
On tonight’s premiere, “Extreme Prejudice,” Harper Dearing’s latest act of terrorism ripped through NCIS headquarters in last season’s cliffhanger finale, sparking a cross-agency manhunt for the criminal mastermind.

My favorite comedy from last season was, by far, New Girl, and I cannot wait for its return tonight! Zooey Deschanel as Jess is the most brilliant casting of the 2011-2012 season, and the show constantly had me laughing. When we left our favorite dysfunctional friends, Schmidt was trying to White Fang Cece, and Nick decided he couldn’t move out of the apartment. Personally, I want to see Nick and Jess hook up, and soon—but I’ll keep watching no matter what couples they throw at me. I wonder what crazy situations Jess will end up in this season. Another turkey in the dryer…or perhaps a turducken? 🙂 Whatever comes our way this season, I’m sure we’re going to be in hysterics.
On tonight’s premiere, “Re-launch,” Jess is laid off from her teaching job and volunteers to be a shot girl at Schmidt’s “rebranding” party in the Season 2 opener. Also: Cece introduces the gang to her new beau.
Then on the second episode, “Katie,” Jess pretends she’s someone else when a handsome stranger mistakes her for his blind date. Meanwhile, a patron at Nick’s bar claims to be Nick from the future, and Winston’s disapproving mother pays him a visit.

Tonight, FOX kicks off its new Tuesday comedy lineup, which includes the new series Ben and Kate. Kate Fox is a single mother, and Ben is her free-spirited brother. Ben will disappear for periods of time, only to randomly show up at Kate’s doorstep whenever he has some new crazy plan in the works. While these two siblings couldn’t be any more different, when they get together, they really enrich and complete each other’s lives.
I found this show to be a lot of fun, and it was of my favorites of the new fall comedies. I love the relationship between Ben and Kate, but the true gem of this series is Kate’s daughter, Maddie. When she and Ben are in scenes together, the results are hilarious!
In tonight’s episode, “Pilot,” Kate prepares for a first date with help from a coworker, while Ben reunites with his childhood buddy, and together they try to stop Ben’s ex from getting married.
I recently got a chance to speak with Dana Fox, the creator of the series, and series star Nat Faxon. Checkout my write-up on NoReruns.net.
See it tonight on FOX at 8:30/7:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of Ben and Kate @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Vegas, The Voice, Go On, The New Normal, Parenthood, New Girl, The Mindy Project, Sons of Anarchy, Flipping Out, Chopped, Face Off, Hot Set, Abby & Brittany, and Brickleberry.

I have to admit that I didn’t plan to start watching Go On, despite it featuring Matthew Perry. But I did watch the series premiere, and I fell in love with the story-telling. So far, the show strikes a very nice balance between the support group Ryan is forced to join and Ryan’s work at the radio station. Last week, the group and Steven showed up at Ryan’s home to help him with his trouble sleeping, and that was really sweet. And how long will it take for Ryan and Lauren to get together, or at least start dating?
On tonight’s episode, “Bench-Clearing Bawl,” Ryan is excited to be accepted into Jeremy Roenick’s hockey game, but unbeknownst to him, the invite was out of sympathy. Meanwhile the group, sans Ryan, create collages, and Anne brings Ryan as her plus one to a lesbian wedding.
See the hilarity unfold on NBC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Go On @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching New Girl (twice) and The Voice.

The other premiere I can’t wait to see tonight is NCIS: LA. I haven’t seen this episode, so I’m on pins and needles to see how in the world they are going to get Callen out of the fact that he SHOT A MAN WHILE ON TV! I just don’t see how they can explain that away. Not the way it happened. I don’t see them able to claim it was self defense, and they can’t just…hide it, because the TV crew caught it all on camera. Plus, Hetty actually retired. Will she be back? She HAS to come back, right? It wouldn’t be the same show without her. So yeah, I have faith in the writers, but man, oh man… I think they’ve written themselves into a corner.
On tonight’s episode, “Endgame,” following Callen’s public shooting of the Chameleon on last season’s finale cliffhanger, all is not well with the team, as Callen is placed on suspension and Hetty adjusts to retired life.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing Dancing with the Stars, Ben and Kate, Go On, The Mindy Project, The New Normal, Vegas, Sons of Anarchy, 19 Kids & Counting, Chopped, Abby & Brittany, & Counting Cars.
