Wednesday already! This week is flying by, and I for one cannot believe that it’s already October—before we know it ,we’re going to be decorating for Christmas! Egads! Now, before we all start having a holiday panic, let’s see what’s on television tonight to keep us relaxed on this fabulous fall day. (Side note: TV is a little slow tonight because of the Presidential Debate, so it may be more relaxing than you want.)

Supernatural returns tonight, and I am very excited—after all, what is a week without a visit with the sexy Winchester brothers? This show has been bordering on cancelations for so many seasons, but the faithful fans have kept it afloat, and now we are being paid with delicious dramatic episodes that make us cry, laugh, and gasp all at once. The relationship between Sam and Dean is always full of surprises, but at the heart of it, we are treated to an amazing display of brotherly love.
When we left our demon-hunting heroes, they had battled Dick, had struggles with Castiel, and teamed up with a prophet named Kevin—and we ended with Dean headed to Purgatory. What a tangled web, and I wonder what’s going to become of the boys.
On tonight’s premiere, “We Need to Talk About Kevin,” Sam and Dean are reunited after a year apart. Dean re-emerges from Purgatory, but he isn’t alone. He heads straight for Sam, but the reunion isn’t exactly what he thought it would be. Sam drops everything to join his brother, but leaving the life he had grown to enjoy turns out to be harder than he imagined. Dean and Sam look for Kevin (Osric Chau) who has managed to escape Crowley’s grasp, but things come to a head quickly when Kevin tells them what it is that Crowley wants.

I’m really enjoying Guys with Kids, from creator/excutive producer Jimmy Fallon. As a parent, I can enjoy all the jokes & situations that are uniquely suited toward parents. It makes both myself & my husband laugh each week, and I am looking forward to the new episode tonight. My favorite character is probably Gary. I love Anthony Anderson in everything I’ve seen him in, and this show’s no exception. Last week, when he pretended that he’d remembered his anniversary, we knew it was going to come crashing down around him. It still made us laugh because that’s totally something we could see happening in real life to a married couple with four kids and busy lives.
On tonight’s episode, “Marny Wants a Girl,” Marny has always wanted a girl and insists on giving it a try but Gary isn’t too keen on the idea. Sheila organizes a child CPR class and signs everyone up. Nick and Emily reluctantly attend the class in hopes of proving they are good parents.
Laugh along with me tonight on NBC at 8:30/7:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of Guys with Kids @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing Animal Practice, Oh Sit!, Survivor, The Neighbors, Restaurant: Impossible, & Cajun Pawn Stars.

Last week, ABC added a new series, The Neighbors, to its hilarious Wednesday comedy block. In the pilot, the Weaver family moved into a gated suburban New Jersey community, only to discover that all of the other residents were aliens from the planet Zabvron. They found themselves stuck on Earth and need to recharge their poo-pod in order to get home, but they forgot the charger back on their home planet. In an attempt to fit in, the Zabrovians have all taken their names from famous athletes. The Weavers were a bit frightened of their new neighbors at first but soon discovered that families and their issues aren’t all that different across the galaxy.
I really enjoyed Lenny Venito and Jami Gertz as Marty and Debbie Weaver. I was a big fan of Gertz’s work on the sitcom Still Standing, so it’s great to see her back in a similar mom role here. While the pilot wasn’t as great as I had hoped, I really enjoyed tonight’s episode, and several scenes had me laughing out loud. I hope it continues to get better and better each week!
In tonight’s episode, “Journey to the Center of the Mall,” the Weavers take their new alien friends, the Bird-Kersees, to the mall for back-to-school clothes after persuading them to let their kids get an education outside Hidden Hills. Meanwhile, Debbie and Jackie suspect each other of being dishonest.
See if I’m right about the second episode being better than the first tonight on ABC at 8:30/7:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Neighbors @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Survivor, The Middle, Animal Practice, Guys with Kids, The X Factor, Supernatural, and Life After Top Chef.

Each season, there are some contestants on The Challenge that I forgot I really hate. One of those contestants is Camila, who got on my nerves so bad last week. And Brandon, as well. Both of them were unwilling to volunteer to go into the arena, while it clearly was their turn to do so. So far, I like this season since none of the contestants that remain are “seasoned contenders,” so it looks like any team could win this competition.
On tonight’s episode, “What Happens in Vegas…” Sarah and Alton appear to bond, much to the displeasure of Trishelle.
See which team will be going home tonight on 10/9c on MTV. Learn where to find episodes online of The Challenge @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching The X Factor and Oh Sit!.
