It’s a bit of a slower night tonight because of the political debate. I’ll be SO glad when November has come and gone. I’m so tired of politics and all the crap that goes with it—especially all the ads on TV and making me miss shows! *grump* Even so, there’s some great stuff on tonight (including the return of Covert Affairs, which is reaching high points in drama!), so check out what we think you should be watching, and be sure to let us know if you’re going to take our genius advice. 😉

I’m particularly excited about tonight’s season premiere of Flashpoint on ION. It started airing a few weeks ago in Canada (lucky Megan!), but for the US viewers, tonight’s our first chance to get a look at the team after last season’s tense finale. Poor Parker has been put through the wringer emotionally. Team One’s leader was having problems in his personal life, but he’s finally begun mending fences with his teenage son. The relationship between Sam and Jules was discovered, and we thought they might be told they had to split—either personally or professionally—but at the end of the finale, Parker gave them the news that they were able to stay together and stay on Team One, which is awesome. Ed is still working on the team, and things with his wife are better than they were. The finale left off with the team and their families at the annual team picnic, where everything was great. Even Wordy was there. I hope that doesn’t mean bad things are headed our way for season five… Eek!
On tonight’s premiere, “A Broken Peace,” with help from the fugitive’s daughter, Team One searches the city in pursuit of James Mitchell, an armed and extremely volatile man who is hunting his ex-wife. Ed is forced to take a tragic shot that he was not prepared to take.
Don’t miss the pulse-pounding action tonight on ION at 11/10c. Learn where to find episodes online of Flashpoint @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Raising Hope, Dancing with the Stars, Ben and Kate, 19 Kids & Counting, Chopped, Covert Affairs, Chef Race: U.K. vs U.S., & Sons of Anarchy.

When Hart of Dixie premiered last season, I was curious if I was going to love it or hate it, but my question was quickly answered because I got hooked immediately. I love Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart, and so far this season, it has been pure entertainment. Zoe is as fickle as fickled can be when it comes to men, because she’s in love with George but she’s been sleeping with Wade and has developed feelings for him. In the end, George took Zoe’s advice to sow his wild oats before settling down, and Wade pushed Zoe to her limits.
On tonight’s episode, “If it Make You Happy,” Zoe discovers an error about herself in her alumni magazine, so she invites the reporter to town to set the record straight. Meanwhile, George lets Lemon konw that he’s dating again, and Lemon and Lavon get entangled in a rivalry with Ruby.
To see how much trouble Lemon causes for Ruby, tune in to The CW at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hart of Dixie @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching The Voice, Ben and Kate, and Emily Owens, M.D.

Tonight, The CW kicks off the new medical dramedy, Emily Owens, M.D. The series follows first-year intern Emily Owens (Mamie Gummer, The Good Wife, Off the Map), who realizes that working at Denver Memorial Hospital isn’t all that different from high school with all its cliques. She finds herself working alongside her medical school crush Will Collins (Justin Hartley, Smallville) and her high-school nemesis Cassandra (Aja Naomi King). The series also stars Michael Rady (Greek, The Mentalist), Kelly McCreary (White Collar) and Necar Zadegan (The Event, 24).
I haven’t yet seen this series, so I don’t know where it falls on the medical dramedy spectrum, or what to expect. Will it be a more serious medical drama with some comedic moments, like the early seasons of Grey’s Anatomy (which I thoroughly enjoyed)? Or will it be more like Scrubs, with some added drama? I’m interested in checking it out, but I’m kind of hoping for interesting medical cases mixed in with the drama/comedy of a young female doctor learning the ropes—like a Franklin & Bash or Raising the Bar set in the medical world.
In tonight’s premiere, “Pilot,” Emily begins her internship and discovers her old high-school nemesis working there, as well as a guy she had a crush on in medical school.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Raising Hope, Ben and Kate, Hart of Dixie, Sons of Anarchy, Flipping Out, Chopped, Covert Affairs, Face Off, Hot Set, Chef Race: U.K. vs U.S., and Underemployed.
