The Middle is one of those shows that never fails to amuse, but it’s so much more than just great writing. It’s a great cast too. This point was validated during a recent interview with Patricia Heaton—she really is completely down to earth and super amusing. If you haven’t checked it out yet (shame on you!), but you can find it here.
Now to discuss a fabulous episode of this hilarious show, which will be hitting your television screens tonight! What do you get when you add Halloween to the Heck family? Well, what you always get delightful chaos, of course.

Personally, I don’t enjoy Halloween, so I totally sympathize when Frankie (Patricia Heaton) is having difficulty getting into the spirit of the season. Honestly, why do we have to hand out candy and pretend like we’re happy that people are knocking on our doors, when truthfully, all I want to do is curl up and watch some great TV? (Note: Halloween actually falls on a Wednesday this year, so if you wanted to skip trick or treating and stay home to watch The Middle, we wouldn’t blame you at all!)
Okay, back to the Heck family—it’s time to teach Sue how to drive, which seeing as Sue has “issues” succeeding at most things, it’s bound to be even more of a disaster than you think. In my opinion, some people should just not drive, and Sue has always fit in this category.
Although, while we’re on the topic of children who shouldn’t be allowed to do things, Axl manages to get in trouble just breathing but is looking forward to taking his civic duty seriously and casting his very first vote. The Democratic system will never be the same.
Finally, Brick has a little bit of a sugary overdose, and let’s just say (without too many spoilers) that the Hulk has nothing on him. 😉
If you’re a fan of the show, you should be sure to head to a special Twitter Viewing Party hosted by One2One Network, where they will also be giving out some prizes! You can RSVP to this party here.
If you don’t want to join the live Twitter party (because you’ve obviously lost your mind 😉 ), then make sure when you tweet, you use the show’s hashtag of #TheMiddle so we can all giggle together! Plus, check out the picture from tonight’s episode!
Now go, grab yourself some candy corn, and settle in for the Halloween-themed episode of The Middle tonight at 8/7c on ABC.
