Tonight is the series premiere of Dangerous Grounds on Travel Channel at 10/9c. How far would you go to get a good cup of coffee? In the new show, coffee magnate and adventurer Todd Carmichael traverses the globe, zip-lines on a makeshift cable thousands of feet in the air, and dodges machine gun-toting adversaries all on the hunt for rare strains of coffee beans in some of the most fascinating and unseen places in the world. Why? With nearly a billion people drinking coffee every day, coffee has become the second most-traded commodity behind oil, and most importantly to Carmichael, his livelihood depends on the success of finding the perfect hidden coffee bean! Over the course of eight one-hour episodes, viewers will follow Carmichael as he travels to remote locales including Haiti, Bolivia, Madagascar and Borneo – while showcasing sites and cultures that few have even seen, let alone visited. These are places where things can get out of control at the blink of an eye. Whether sleeping under his truck to avoid being detected by dangerous robbers or using makeshift repairs to fix a broken engine, Carmichael risks it all in search of the ultimate coffee beans. Travel is his life, and coffee fuels his passion for adventure.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Jesse James: Outlaw Garage on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. Bad boy Jesse James is heating up the Lone Star state! He’s returning home to Discovery Channel with a new series…and a new business endeavor as a partner at the Austin Speed Shop. Will Jesse be able to turn the Speed Shop into a world class custom shop? Will he create a new, better life for himself and his family? Everything is bigger – and better – in Texas. Jesse is getting back to his roots, back to being one of the best metal fabricators in the world. Now a part owner of the Austin Speed Shop, Jesse sets a new mantra for the shop…build the highest quality, most badass cars in the world. The stakes are high and the pressure is on. Customizing cars and trucks, with zero tolerance for mistakes, Jesse unleashes his creative style and unapologetic attitude. On his new show, Jesse pushes his new crew into uncharted territory to build the Austin Speed Shop into the best custom car shop in the country.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Start-Ups: Silicon Valley on Bravo at 10/9c. From executive producer, Randi Zuckerberg, the new docu-series explores the intertwining lives of a group of young professionals on the path to becoming Silicon Valley’s next great success stories. The series follows Ben, David, Dwight, Hermione, Kim and Sarah as they work and play in the heart of the tech world.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Witness on HBO at 10/9c. Drug trafficking, poverty, gang violence, corruption and ethnic warfare have created some of the most dangerous hot spots on Earth. The show follows our current generation of photojournalists into these conflict zones in Mexico, Libya, Brazil, and South Sudan. In the four-part series, war photographers carry usinto the heart of the human drama of the people in the action on the ground. We see what compels the photojournalist and experience why, when everyone elseseeks cover, the photojournalist stands and moves closer. Executive produced by writer-director Michael Mann (Luck) and acclaimed commercial and documentary director David Frankham, this new show is not a historical summary or analysis. It does not present the sides of an issue from an objective perspective. Witness is the exact opposite. It is personal experience. It is an immersion into the human drama on the ground of peoplecaught in the thick of it. Witness dives into the anomalies, the humor, the tragedy, the chaos, the exultation. It struggles to capture – as does the photographer – a small piece of the truth in a moment.

Tonight is the series premiere of Deals from the Darkside on Syfy at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. The show follows collector Steve Santini on his quest to locate, authenticate and buy dark relics. Be it a deck chair from the Titanic or Jack the Ripper’s knife, if there’s a dark and tragic history to it, Steve wants it. His devotion to collection – and his fascination with the dark side of humanity – has led Steve into more than a few adventures (in fact, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! dubbed him the world’s most extreme escape artist). Alongside his sidekick Biker Rob, and his researcher Stef, they enter a world few of us dare to investigate.

Tonight is also the series premiere of lolwork on Bravo at 11/10c. Get ready to chuckle when Bravo goes inside the Seattle office of one of the largest humor publishers on the internet on the new series. The 30-minute doc-com presents the world of Ben Huh and his eccentric staff as they attempt to make the world laugh five minutes a day by putting nimble yet grammatically incorrect captions on cute photos of domesticated pets and animals. The series begin as the staff at Cheezburger competes to create a new comedic web series for the site. It is winner-take-all as good judgment and occasional good taste go out the window on the quest to be the best in kitty humor.
