We’re halfway through the weekend and to the first day of the new week of TV. It’s a big week for the US, as we head to polls on Tuesday, so take some time to relax each night with our recommendations on what to watch, starting with tonight. 🙂
I am SO excited about tonight’s season premiere of The Next Iron Chef. I would be excited even if this were a normal competition, but I’m even more excited because this is the season of redemption. All ten chefs have competed before and are back for a second chance at being the winner. Nine chefs were picked, while a tenth was chosen from a Road to Redemption webcast. I was rooting for Madison Cowan, who I quite enjoy seeing competing, but Duskie Estes won the right to compete in the new season. Along with her, the chefs this season include Nate Appleman, Elizabeth Falkner (who I thought got ripped off last season when Geoffrey Zakarian—who I don’t particularly like at all—beat her out at the end), Amanda Freitag, Eric Greenspan, Alex Guarnaschelli, Tim Love, Jehangir Mehta, Spike Mendelsohn, & Marcel Vigneron. Frankly, Marcel and Spike are hotties, and I’d love either or both of them to stick around for a while, simply for the eye candy if nothing else. (Although, I know Spike is a great chef, and I like watching him cook, so that’s a bonus. I don’t know Marcel at all…) But I think my vote has to go to Nate Appleman, who I would love to watch as an Iron Chef, or a few others. Regardless, I think it’ll be an excellent season.
On tonight’s episode, “Resourcefulness,” the 10 competing chefs arriving on a beach, where they are told they’ll be cooking with an ingredient that burned them in the past.
See who deserves to be back and who goes home first tonight on the 90-minute season premiere on Food Network 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Halloween Wars @ Clicker.

Once Upon a Time has been on fire this season with so many new fairytale characters joining the show. It’s been full of excitement and a twisted plot. I think I’ll always love Emma because her character is so strong and independent—a real picture of what a heroine should be. Last episode, we saw a gruesome look at Dr. Frankenstein, but also saw another emotional side of Regina when she had to finally say goodbye forever to Daniel.
On tonight’s episode, “Tallahassee,” Emma embarks on a dangerous adventure with Captain Hook as they climb up a beanstalk to snatch a magical compass from a deadly giant. Meanwhile, details from Emma’s dark past come to light when she runs into a fellow thief.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Mentalist, The Amazing Race, The Walking Dead, and The Next Iron Chef.
So last week on The Walking Dead, we finally got to see what all those comic book fans were buzzing about—The Governor! Michonne and Andrea saw a helicopter crash, but when they arrived, they saw a man killing those wounded in the crash. Michonne was forced to behead her pets to keep them quiet in order to not alert the men to their position. However, it was too late, and Merle (yes, he’s back!) blindfolded them and put them in a truck. They soon arrived at Woodbury—a town being run by The Governor. The town had power, water, and its own militia patrolling the gate for walkers. Michonne and Andrea learned the truth about the virus, and Andrea gave Merle an update on the group’s activities since he left.
The Governor seemed way too nice and Woodbury way too perfect, so I knew there had to be a secret. The helicopter crash survivor told The Governor about his fellow company of soldiers. The Governor tracked them down, executed them, and took their supplies for Woodbury—so now we know how this town stays so productive. We also saw that The Governor has a secret office, with an aquarium of heads of those he’s killed. It will be interesting to see how our gang at the prison will cross paths with The Governor and Woodbury—and what will happen in the process.
In tonight’s episode, “Killer Within,” lives are endangered when the group gets separated, while in Woodbury, Merle makes an appeal to The Governor.
