Halfway through the week. I’m so excited because that means one day closer to Thanksgiving. I can’t wait to do all the cooking and eating. Yum. My stomach is already growling for the turkey, dressing, green bean casserole… Yum. To help us through the wait, we’re here to tell you what great stuff is on TV tonight that we think you should be watching. 🙂
I’ve really been enjoying Chicago Fire, especially since Casey busted the detective’s son for drunk driving and causing the accident that nearly killed an entire family and made a teenage sports player paralyzed. The detective is dirty, and at first, he tried to bribe Casey into keeping his mouth shut and retracting his statement about the accident. When that didn’t work, he stepped up to threats—to not only Casey himself, but his fiancee. Things are going to escalate again tonight, and I can’t wait to see if we get a resolution. One of the other big story lines is Dawson coming up on charges. I haven’t seen her do anything I think she should be disciplined for (especially kicking the guy last episode…he had a mean temper and bad attitude and was threatening them…), so hopefully that will be resolved soon, too. Of course the other biggest continuing story line is Severide and the pain pills. He needs the surgery that will ultimately save his ability to walk and move, but so far, he’s refusing because it’ll mean he’s out of work for quite a while. So to try to live with the pain, he resorted to sleeping with an old one-night stand who happened to be a drug rep and was able to then get him some really strong pain killers. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out, too.
On tonight’s episode, “Rear View Mirror,” facing suspension, Dawson gets a hand from the same girl she saved through the procedures that landed her in front of the disciplinary board. Lieutenant Casey finds his fuse shortening as Detective Voight stops at nothing to get him to retract his statement. However, when Casey lays his life on the line during an apartment fire, he may have unknowingly caught the break he was needing.

Tonight, Whitney finally returns to NBC for the start of its second season. When we last left them, Whitney and Alex had decided to get married at City Hall, but after an expired license, a broken finger, and being handed the wrong paperwork, they decided to skip the ceremony and just get matching “I Do” tattoos.
I really enjoyed the first season of Whitney, and I thought the season ending would have worked well as a series finale if they hadn’t been picked up. But since they were, I’m interested to see how they change things up this year. The rumor is that they will be concentrating more on Alex and Whitney and a little less on the supporting cast. Also, since Maulik Pancholy is back on 30 Rock for its final season, they are bringing in a new character played by comedian Tone Bell.
On tonight’s episode, “Bawl and Chain,” Whitney and Alex celebrate their unofficial wedding day. Whitney’s mother arrives but then abruptly departs, leaving Whitney in tears. Meanwhile, Lily and Roxanne butt heads trying to purchase the perfect wedding gift for Whitney.
See if they can be as funny in season two as they were in season one on NBC at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Whitney @ Clicker.
Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording Survivor, Criminal Minds, CSI, The Middle, The Neighbors, Modern Family, Suburgatory, Nashville, Guys with Kids, Arrow, Supernatural, American Horror Story, Life After Top Chef, and Top Chef.
Haley is back on Modern Family! I felt a little lost without Haley (the ever great Sarah Hyland), and fortunately for us, she couldn’t stay in college and is moving back home. And last week started great, looking at how every parent scares when the phone rings in the middle of the night. And Cameron with his shenanigans with Luke and Alex were great.
On tonight’s episode, “Mistery Date,” Claire takes Manny and Luke along to Alex’s academic decathlon, and Phil tries to throw a boys’ night at the house, inviting a fellow Bullfrog alum (Matthew Broderick) he just met. Meanwhile, Cam and Mitch arrange for a surprise baby gift for Jay and Gloria.
See how Phil deals on ABC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Modern Family @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching Arrow, The X Factor, Suburgatory, and Whitney .(YAY!)
