If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/25/12

Welcome back to the Remote posts! I hope everyone had a good holiday (or just a good week if you aren’t American. 😉 ). We had a great one, but I’m thankful for all the new TV this week. Megan is skipping today because she’s in the middle of moving, and JJ is under the weather, so hopefully they’ll both be back tomorrow! Now, check out what Kyle & I think you should be watching. 🙂

Jenny’s Choice

This season of The Next Iron Chef has been fun so far, and I can’t say I’ve been *too* disappointed with the way it’s going so far. I’m not a fan of Elizabeth Falkner still. Much like Geoffrey Zacharian, I think she’s pompous and arrogant and believes she can do no wrong. Maybe I’m wrong. But that’s how I see her. So I wouldn’t be disappointed if she got sent home soon. Other than that, I’m happy so far.

On tonight’s episode, “Transformation,” the seven remaining chefs have reached the halfway point in this competition and now they must not only battle for their own redemption, but they must prove they can redeem and transform ingredients that some would think are unworthy for Kitchen Stadium, into Iron Chef-worthy fare.

See what the chefs dish up tonight on Food Network 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Next Iron Chef @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Amazing Race, Sugar Dome, Chopped, Breaking Magic, & The Mentalist.

Kyle’s Choice

Lots of things happened on last week’s episode of The Walking Dead! Michonne decided to leave Woodbury, so The Governor sent Merle and some men to “take care of her,” but they failed. Merle killed the remaining man in order to keep the secret that Michonne escaped. On his way back, he came across Glenn and Maggie and forced them to come with him to Woodbury. However, Michonne witnessed the whole incident and found her way to the prison, where Rick saw her at the gate, holding the baby formula Glenn and Maggie had set out to get. Meanwhile, Carol was found, and she and Daryl had a tearful reunion!

I think it’s only a matter of time now before we see a battle between Rick and The Governor, and I can’t wait to see those two fight it out. Also, what’s up with Andrea and her poor choice in men—first Shane, and now The Governor?! And how will the eventual reunion between Daryl and Merle play out now that Daryl is a much nicer guy than he started out as, while Merle is the same old Merle?

On tonight’s episode, “When the Dead Come Knocking,” the Governor seeks information, while a new arrival at the prison forces Rick to make a decision.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording The Amazing Race, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Once Upon a Time, Revenge, 666 Park Avenue, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, Home Alone: The Holiday Heist, Chopped, Dexter, and Homeland.
