If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/3/12

Another day, another dollar—or something to that effect. It was kind of a long weekend, so as sad as it is to say, I’m looking forward to Monday. Megan and JJ are both away again today, but honestly, my choice & Kyle’s choice are the best two options for Monday night anyway. *grin* So take a look at what we are recommending.

Jenny’s Choice

Oh, Castle, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways (yes, I’m quoting from Elizabeth Barrett Browning): 1) Beckett and Castle are so cute together. 2) The cases are brilliant. 3) The supporting cast is one of the best on TV. 4) Have I mentioned how freakin adorable Beckett and Castle are together? It’s been two weeks since the last new episode, which was a great one. Caskett had dinner with his mother and her father, and needless to say, it didn’t go well. They went straight from there to a case, which then led to them being on the run and in hiding against a dangerous mobster—only, it turned out, he didn’t want to kill them, and he helped save them. At the end, when Beckett realized Castle was safe, they ran into each other’s arms, and I went all swoony. Of course, then we got back to the station to see Martha and Jim being much more friendly and looking mighty cozy compared to how they’d been at dinner. 😉

I’ve had a chance to see tonight’s episode—the show’s much-talked-about Christmas ep—and it is fantastic. It’s just what I had hoped it would be when I first heard about it. It’s Beckett & Castle’s first Christmas together, and you know it won’t run smoothly, right? 😉 It wouldn’t be Castle if it did!

On tonight’s episode, “Secret Santa,” when a bearded, rotund man in a red Santa suit with an ID reading Kris Kringle falls from the sky in Central Park, Castle and Beckett are on the hunt to find the person who killed Santa. But everything isn’t holiday cheer, as they discover St. Nick may have been more naughty than nice. Meanwhile, Castle and Beckett prepare for their first Christmas together.

See who killed Santa & whether or not Castle & Beckett have a merry Christmas together tonight on ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Castle @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Bones, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Next Great Baker, The Mob Doctor, Mike & Molly, Hawaii Five-0, & Pawn Star$.

Kyle’s Choice

On last week’s episode of Bones, a street artist was trying to tag a billboard, when he fell off and accidentally glued himself to a corpse. After separating Zed from the remains, the gang identified the victim as a telemarketer/part-time comedian. So Booth took to the stage at a comedy club to try to get the killer to reveal themself. Meanwhile, Angela sought Zed’s approval of her own artwork.

It was a fun episode; however, the jokes that Sweets gave to Booth were horrible! I’m sorry, but I don’t buy that Brennan would have even found them funny, let alone cause her to laugh out loud. That said, I’m excited for tonight’s episode because Cyndi Lauper will be reprising her role as psychic Avalon Harmonia.

On tonight’s episode, “The Ghost in the Machine,” a psychic joins the investigation of the death of a little boy whose soul is believed to be still alive, prompting the team members to reflect on their beliefs of life after death.

See how an episode from the viewpoint of the victim looks tonight on FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Bones @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Castle, and The Mob Doctor.
