In 11 days, we will be crowded around a Christmas tree, exchanging gifts and Christmas cheer… Wait, only 11 days?!?! Where did the time go? At the end of the day, it’s not about the presents but about spending time with the ones we love, and what better way to do that than to curl up and watch some television on a Friday night? Let’s see what you should be watching.

I don’t know why, but I never get sick of Kitchen Nightmares. I’m sure it’s because Gordon Ramsay continually amuses me, but it could also be that I never tire of seeing how silly these people are. Although I have to say, the more I watch this show, the less I enjoy eating in restaurants, because I’m always worried that the kitchen isn’t clean or they use old food. What can I say? I’m a product of my television watching. 🙂
On tonight’s episode, “Revisted No.1,” Chef Ramsay heads back to Cafe Hon, Chierello, & Leones to see if the owners kept up the changes that were made.
To see if any of the owners kept up their end of the bargain, tune into FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Kitchen Nightmares @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching Take It All, Malibu Country, and Say Yes to the Dress.

I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy this season of Last Man Standing as much as I did last season because I really liked the girl who played Kristin. So when I heard they were recasting, I was apprehensive. But I don’t dislike her at all. I like the character, although one of my least favorite parts of the show is her baby daddy, Ryan. I know they’ve made his character the complete opposite from Tim Allen’s Mike just so they can play the two off each other, but Ryan is kind of a douche and rather uppity & irritating. LOL Oh well. It doesn’t really cut into my enjoyment of the show.
Last week, Mike scared the crap out of his grandson Boyd while trying to teach him about the circle of life after the boy’s father was trying to get the kid to stop eating meat and become vegan like he was. It was pretty funny, and I couldn’t help but laugh, even though we’ve been through somewhat of a death talk with my son after we lost two kitties. It’s TV, though, so it’s a lot funnier there than it is in real life!
On tonight’s episode, “Putting a Hit on Christmas,” Vanessa, worn out from the recent Thanksgiving holiday, longs for the quiet, no-fuss Christmases when it was just her and Mike. Since he doesn’t have a clue about what to get Vanessa for Christmas, he decides a family-free holiday is the perfect gift, and now must figure out a way to get Boyd and the girls away for the holidays. Meanwhile, Ed mistakenly shoots an American bald eagle instead of a turkey.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Malibu Country, Fringe, Take It All, & Mystery Diners.

While the new season of Portlandia doesn’t officially start until January 4, tonight, IFC is airing a special all-new episode. So take a short break from reality and head to Portland for an amusing half hour of quirky hipsters and their unusual antics. I’ve never been to Portland, but I really hope people like the characters on this show don’t actually exist! 🙂 Tonight’s fun guest stars include Bobby Moynihan, Jim Gaffigan, and Matt Lucas.
On tonight’s episode, “Winter in Portlandia,” winter arrives, and a number of inhabitants warm up to some cold-weather projects, including Peter and Nance, who strike pasta from their diet to keep down their weight, and the proprietors of Stu’s Stews food cart, who try to stir up business as the weather gets chillier. In other goings-on, Candice’s son visits the bookstore; and Bryce and Lisa’s newly opened Outlet Hotel offers a getaway package.
See the crazy fun tonight on IFC at 10:30/9:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of Portlandia @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching/recording Fringe, Haven, Take It All, & Kitchen Nightmares.

I’m still a little bit annoyed at this uneven final season of Fringe. Last week was again somewhat frustrating, with elements that I loved and elements that didn’t work as well as I would’ve hoped or even expected. But at least Peter is free from the observer tech, and the ending was really powerful!
On tonight’s episode, “Black Blotter,” Walter takes LSD for a trip down memory lane and to find out his plan to take out the observers, and Peter and Oliva find a grizzly scene after tracing a signal into the woods.
