Gotta love the flu that’s going around. We’re all well here in my house, but Megan’s poor baby is sick, so she’s taking the day off. Kyle is still gone on vacation, so it’s up to JJ and me to tell you what we think you should be watching on this chilly Tuesday. 😉

Tonight is the series finale of Flashpoint. I’m so very sad about that because I’ve loved it from the very beginning. I’m thrilled they found a way to let Jules and Sam be happy and together. I like that Ed has finally been getting help for the stress of his job and his having to shoot the teenage girl earlier in the season and that his son is beginning to come around to realizing why his dad has been behaving the way he has. I love Greg’s son and that he seems to be a good kid and wants to follow in his dad’s footsteps. I wish we’d gotten to see Wordy more lately, and I still have hopes that Spike and Winnie will get together. It’s not too late…right? LOL
Part one of the finale aired last week, but I didn’t want to watch before part two tonight. I’m scared that something bad will happen to one of the beloved members of the team. I will cross my fingers that everyone comes out of this okay. I’ll miss the show terribly, and honestly, I may end up buying it all on DVD because I love it that much. *sigh* Here’s hoping Enrico Colantoni, Amy Jo Johnson, David Paetkau, and the rest of the cast find another great show soon!
On tonight’s episode, “Keep the Peace, Part Two,†a series of bombs in public buildings tear the city apart with terror as Team One hunts down the bomber and rescues civilians. In Team One’s final showdown, tragedy and triumph collide as peace is kept at a painful cost.
Don’t miss the exciting drama tonight on ION at 11/10c. Learn where to find episodes online of Flashpoint @ Clicker.

Last week’s The Mindy Project killed me, with Danny and Morgan attempting to set up a bunk-bed and having it fall apart on Gwen’s head. And Shauna and Betsy looking through the office was hilarious, and what they found was even better!
On tonight’s episode, “Hooking Up is Hard,” Mindy wants a one-night stand with Brendan, but things go wrong when Brendan’s brother and Morgan show up. Meanwhile, Danny goes on a date with Eye Patch.

I’ll also be watching Go On, New Girl, and Cougar Town.

I chose to also feature the 2-hour series premiere of The Taste tonight. It was going to be Megan’s pick, but since I’m looking forward to it too, it only makes sense to include it. 🙂 I love cooking competition shows, and from what I know, The Taste is sort of like The Voice of the cooking competition world: They start off blind.
Here’s what ABC says about the show: Sixteen competitors, from pro chefs to home cooks, whip up dishes attempting to impress four of the world’s most notable chefs. The catch is all the dishes will be judged in a blind taste test. In this pressure-packed contest, the taste of a single spoonful can catapult a contender to the top or send him packing. [The show] features no-holds barred chef Anthony Bourdain, British food star Nigella Lawson, expert chef and author Ludo Lefebvre, and restaurateur Brian Malarkey. Each of the four culinary superstars and “Taste†mentors—Bourdain, Lawson, Lefebvre, and Malarkey—will coach a team of four competing pro and amateur cooks chosen from a nationwide casting call as they vie to create the best tasting dish. In each episode, the groups will face team and individual challenges with a variety of culinary themes through several elimination rounds. At the end of each episode, the mentors will have to judge the competitors’ dishes blind, with no knowledge of whose creation they’re sampling, what they’re eating, how it was prepared or whom they could be eliminating.
On tonight’s premiere, “Auditions Part 1,†the pressure is on when the judges put 29 professional chefs and home cooks through their first grueling round of blind taste tests—in which just a single spoonful will decide whether or not they make it past the audition phase and into the competition.
See the fun tonight on ABC at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Taste @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Raising Hope, Ben and Kate, The New Normal, Chopped, Cougar Town, Justified, & Total Blackout.
