If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/10/13

I love having family visit, but I’m almost always ready for them to go home. *laugh* My in-laws were here all day Saturday, so by Saturday night, I was ready to have my quiet living room back. I slept well last night, that’s for sure. Today will be a little more calm, and tonight, I can relax in front of the TV to watch some great TV. Kyle, JJ, and I have ideas on what YOU can watch tonight, so read on. 😉

rachaelvsguysmallIt’s been a pretty good season of Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, without too much drama, which I was pleased about. I’ve been rooting for Dean since the beginning since he seemed more serious about food than the others and he was very good at what he does. I have almost no doubts that he will win tonight against Carnie Wilson.

On tonight’s episode, “Star-Studded Supper,” the two remaining celebrity competitors are challenged to host a Hollywood dinner party, where a three-course meal will be served to guests, amongst whom include Kathy Griffin, and chefs Nancy Silverton and Suzanne Goin.

Don’t miss the fun tonight on Food Network at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing America’s Funniest Home Videos, & Iron Chef America.

thewalkingdead210smallI can’t wait for tonight’s mid-season return of The Walking Dead! When we last left our gang, Rick had led a small group to rescue Glenn and Maggie from Woodbury. Michonne broke off from the group and had an altercation with the Governor—killing his zombie daughter, smashing his zombie head aquarium, and stabbing him in the eye. During the rescue mission, Daryl was captured, and he and Merle (now deemed a traitor) were chained up and brought before the townsfolk, who called for them to be executed. Meanwhile, a new group of survivors arrived at the prison, and Carl took steps to keep them isolated from the others until they could be trusted.

I’m excited to see where the show goes for the second half of the season. Will Daryl and/or Merle escape and survive? Will Andrea still stick around in Woodbury, even though she now knows the dark truth about the Governor? What’s up with this new group that just showed up at the prison—can they be trusted? And what about the men the Governor sent towards the prison—with only Carl, the women, one-legged Hershel, and a baby there, there’s not much in the way of defense!

On tonight’s episode, “The Suicide King,” Rick attempts to rescue an imperiled member of the group, while a recent attack has left Woodbury in disarray. Later, concerns are raised at the prison after new guests arrive.

Tonight, the Talking Dead live chat show hosted by Chris Hardwick also returns. I really enjoy this post-episode discussion show, and I’m happy that starting tonight, they have both extended it to an hour, as well as moved it up so that it airs immediately following the episode, instead of having an hour in-between.

See the drama tonight on AMC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Walking Dead @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching/recording Once Upon a Time, Revenge, The Cleveland Show, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, Downton Abbey, Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, BAFTA Awards 2013, and Shameless.

houseoflies210smallHopefully, the last episode of House of Lies wasn’t the direction the show is going. It started to feel fragmented between locations and the attempt to service all the characters. With Doug getting somewhat seperated from the group as well, that means even more different thing happening. Let’s hope tonight will be better!

On tonight’s episode, “Damonschildren.org,” Hollywood superstar Matt Damon decides to call on Galweather Stearn to request that they locate a good charity in order to help him enhance his public image, but Marty believes they have gone too far. Jeanie spends time with Roscoe.

See if they can bring it back to the show we know and love tonight on Showtime at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of House of Lies @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching Once Upon a Time, Revenge, and The Walking Dead.
