If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/17/13

This will be short and sweet because I figured out that apparently, my son can get well and THEN I can get sick after two days. Not fun, I tell you… Not fun. So check out what we think you should be watching while I curl up and feel like I want to die.

thementalist217smallIt’s been three weeks since the last new episode of The Mentalist, which is too long, in my opinion. Last time, the case dealt with a 25-year-old case that involved the Visualize group…and a Red John smilie face on the side of a big barn. It put Jane one step closer to figuring out who Red John is, since he had to have been there when he was a certain age 25 years ago. Jane has narrowed it down to less than 500 names, if I remember right. Considering how many he started with…that’s pretty impressive. We’ll see if it actually goes somewhere, though. Oh, and I do hope Amanda Righetti (Van Pelt) has her baby soon and comes back so her character can get out from behind that blasted desk! LOL I want her back in the field!

On tonight’s episode, “Red in Tooth and Claw,” the team delves into the surprisingly cutthroat world of academics in a case involving a graduate student at a natural history museum. Rob Benedict (Supernatural) and Zuleikha Robinson (Homeland) guest star.

See who Patrick Jane can offend in the name of justice tonight on CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Mentalist @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing America’s Funniest Home Videos, Chopped, Worst Cooks in America, & Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell.

tarsmallIt’s hard to believe that tonight marks the 22nd season premiere of The Amazing Race and it’s still one of the top rated shows on CBS. What’s even crazier is the fact that I’ll be tuning in again this season, because I can’t help myself. Looking over some of the team bios, I’m already intrigued by the married couple from Alabama, Chuck and Wyona, because his mullet and pasttime of taxidermy mean they are going to be super interesting to watch.

On tonight’s premiere, “Business in the Front, Party in the Back,” teams arrive in paradise, where they find themselves skydiving from 10,000 feet in Bora Bora, and in an Amazing Race first, three teams throw in the towel during the first sweltering Roadblock of the season.

To find out what teams make you watch and which you want to go home from the start, tune in to CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Amazing Race @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching Once Upon a Time, Worst Cooks in America, and The Walking Dead.

worstcooksinamerica2012smallI’m so excited for the return of Worst Cooks in America. Each season, two Food Network chefs each try to teach a team of horrible home cooks how to properly use a kitchen. These two teams battle it out, and each week, the chefs must eliminate one of their contestants. In the final week, the last remaining two cooks must prepare a blind-tasting meal for a panel of judges. Anne Burrell has proven herself to be quite the competent teacher, with her protege winning every season. This year, Bobby Flay is back to try again for a win.

I always wonder how they can tell that these home cooks are not faking at how bad they are in order to be on the show. When I see what these people attempt in the kitchen, I always wonder how someone could possibly be THAT bad. Common sense and kitchen basics are nowhere to be found! However, it is always a lot of fun to watch!

On tonight’s episode, “The Worst of the Worst,” season 4 of the competition begins with chefs Anne Burrell and Bobby Flay looking for 14 terrible home cooks whom they can whip into shape.

See the fun begin tonight on Food Network at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Worst Cooks in America @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Amazing Race, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Once Upon a Time, Revenge, The Cleveland Show, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, Downton Abbey, Chopped, The Walking Dead, and Shameless.

thewalkingdead217smallLast week, The Walking Dead returned to its largest audiences yet for the second half of the third season. The episode began right where we left, with Merle and Daryl being forced to fight “to the death.” Eventually, our group managed to escape Woodbury with both brothers, but on the way back to the prison, the brothers decided to go off by themselves. And when everybody got back in the prison, Rick had another vision of Lori, but this time in front of everyone.

On tonight’s episode, “Home,” as the group debates their next course of action, Rick wanders after a lost friend. Daryl and Merle question their choices. The Governor restores order in Woodbury and makes plans to punish those responsible.

See the drama tonight on AMC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Walking Dead @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching Once Upon a Time, Revenge, and House of Lies.
