If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/22/13

Wow! We here in northeast Kansas are just blanketed in snow. We got about 8-10 inches in less than 12 hours. School was canceled both Thursday & Friday, and hubs worked from home Thursday. (As I write this up Thursday night, I’m assuming he’ll be here tomorrow, too, but who knows. LOL) So it’s been a good 24 hours to curl up under a blanket and catch up on TV. Now, there’s not a lot on, and poor Megan is sick again, so it’s all up to me tonight. Check out what I think you should be watching. 😉

Jenny’s Choice

csiny222smallMuch to my sadness, tonight is the season finale of CSI: NY…and I have a sinking feeling it’s going to be the series finale, not just season. Last season only got 18 episodes… This season was even less at 17. That doesn’t bode well for the show’s future, does it? It makes me sad because I do love this show and I do love the characters. I will keep my fingers crossed, but Ausiello & TVLine.com has it at “could go either way,” so I’m not celebrating yet.

Last week was all about Valentine’s Day. There were three different dead men, and only one of the killers killed for the wrong reason. A gorgeous young trophy wife who claimed to be totally in love with her older, heavy-set husband killed him when she thought he was cheating on her, when in reality, he was planning her dream vacation. One of the other deaths was a man who was shot when he was about to shoot his soon-to-be-ex-wife, and the other was a pimp who was killed when he attacked a John because he wasn’t sexing up the prostitute or whatever. LOL It was silly, but it worked. I enjoyed the episode—especially all the stuff with the team at the end: Jo’s daughter ditched her date to have a Mom/Daughter movie night; Christine surprised Mac with a romantic date/dance with Josh Groban singing & playing in the background; and Lindsay & Danny tried to have as romantic a night as possible but were interrupted by Lucy crying out. Totally a problem for parents with young children! 🙂

On tonight’s episode, “Today is Life,” community unrest over the police shooting of an unarmed man forces Mac and the team to move quickly to solve the case.

Don’t miss what might be the last episode of the series but is definitely the last episode of the season tonight on CBS at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of CSI: NY @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Last Man Standing, Nikita, Malibu Country, & Blue Bloods.
