Well, hello there, Friday, you sexy beast you… Thanks for coming in and bringing the weekend along with you! *happy dance* (That’s right, I often speak to the days of the week—you don’t even want to know how I speak to Monday! *blush*) Now that I’ve worshipped the awesomeness that is Friday, let’s look at what fantastical television there is to keep us in the happy weekend vibe.
I’m sure when you think of happy vibes, it doesn’t always involve crime dramas like Blue Bloods. Well, in my TV addict’s world it does. 🙂 Tonight, we are being spoiled with a new episode, and I am looking forward to grabbing a cup of tea (or perhaps some Irish Coffee to toast the Reagans) and curling up to watch my favorite crime-fighting family. Last episode, we watched Danny and Erin work together to help a father solve his daughter’s murder years after the incident. As usual, they came through and justice was served. I really enjoy seeing Erin getting involved in the cases because I find her more personable when she’s not just the tough lawyer.
On tonight’s episode, “Protest Too Much,” Danny’s latest case involves a pair of “Bonnie and Clyde” bank robbers. Frank contemplates dating a woman who’s a friend of Erin’s.
To see if Danny can catch the devious pair, tune in to CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Blue Bloods @ TV.com.
I’ll also be watching Grimm, Golden Boy, Kitchen Nightmares, Cult, Touch, and Spartacus.

Tonight, Grimm is finally back after a four-month hiatus! Things were really ramping up when we hit the fall finale. Monroe told Nick that he saw Juliette kissing another man (which he later revealed was Renard). When Nick confronted Juliette, she said she couldn’t explain why she had those feelings, so Nick just walked out. Juliette went in tears to Monroe and explained the situation—he seems to be the only one who suspects this all has to do with Adalind’s cat poison. Meanwhile, Hank was attacked by two Wesens, and Adalind threatened to reveal Renard’s true identity to Nick if he doesn’t get the key within 48 hours. At the end of the episode, we saw Renard finding Nick’s trailer.
I loved how after leaving us with a cliffhanger and “To Be Continued…,” we immediately got a “Sorry!” I really appreciated that apologetic touch! 🙂 I can’t wait to see where we go from here. Will Juliette be cured and get her memory back? Will she and Nick get back together? Will she finally learn about what’s really going on—I mean, even Hank knows now! And what’s up with Renard? Will he get the key, or will his identity as a royal be revealed?
On tonight’s episode, “Face Off,” while struggling to process the truth about Juliette and Renard, Nick is called to investigate his own crime. Elsewhere, Renard finds Nick’s trailer and forms a new alliance; Monroe tells Nick that he can help with Juliette; and Wu responds to a shooting at Nick’s house.
To see who Renard aligns with and who gets shot at Nick’s house, tune in to NBC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Grimm @ TV.com.
I’ll also be watching/recording Undercover Boss, Golden Boy, Touch, Cult, Spartacus, and Banshee.
While I enjoy a handful of other comedies more, I do love ABC’s Friday night comedies, Last Man Standing & Malibu Country. I love Mike Baxter. Frankly, I love all the Baxter family—although, baby daddy Ryan still is annoying as all hell. (I like the actor & the acting, but the character is a douche. LOL) It’s fun watching Mike have to deal with being the only man in the family with three teenage daughters and all their “woman” stuff, like boys and emotions. Last week was great because Mandy & Kyle were sneaking away to meet at a hotel to have sex, but Kyle had Mike’s voice in his head and Mandy had Eve’s, and the both realized they weren’t ready. It was a pretty sweet moment. For Malibu Country, I am enjoying it more and more as the episodes go on. At first, Cash and June both kind of annoyed me (especially Cash), but they’ve grown on me a lot…and Lily Tomlin as Lillie Mae is brilliantly funny. Of course, Reba is always fun for me to watch. Sara Rue is great as the overly perky, clueless Malibu trophy wife. I love her. Last week, Blake Shelton guest starred as Reba’s slacker brother, and the most poignant moment was when he told Reba that he got fired because he hit her (now ex-) husband when he figured out Bobby was cheating on her.
On tonight’s episode of Last Man Standing, “Private Coach,” Mike hopes that hiring a private soccer coach for Eve will help her chances of getting a scholarship. But the ladies in the Baxter household, especially Vanessa, find themselves quite enamored of the handsome, young man who gets the job. Carla Jiminez and Ezequiel Stremiz guest star.
Then on tonight’s episode of Malibu Country, “Marriage, Malibu-Style,” Reba is torn over whether or not she should tell Kim that her husband gave her an introductory kiss that was a bit too passionate; Lillie Mae discovers a nude beach; Geoffrey urges Reba to open up; June tests Reba’s boundaries; and Cash gives away all his new clothes. Hudson Thames and Enrico Colantoni guest star.
