If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/10/13

It’s the start of a new week, but it’s still the weekend, so for most of us, we can still take today to relax. End the weekend on a good note by watching some of the great TV on, and we’re here to tell you just what that is. 😉

thementalist310smallPatrick Jane has spent all five seasons of The Mentalist trying to find Red John, the man who killed his wife and daughter. Sometimes we think he’s getting closer… Sometimes we think the trail’s gone cold. But watching him is always fun. Last week was a good ep, watching the team trying to find the person who killed an older woman. It was a toss-up between family members, charity recipients, and friends…and in the end, it turned out the old woman wasn’t dead. She’d killed an old lady friend of hers who was depressed and not doing well and then burned her so she couldn’t be identified. She was then getting ready to sneak away with the help of a friend. She was…quite a women. *rolls eyes* LOL

On tonight’s episode, “There Will Be Blood,” Lorelei Martins returns, determined to find out if Red John had a role in her sister’s death, and Jane is forced to confess to Lisbon his part in Lorelei’s prison escape.

To see if Lisbon can forgive Jane, tune in to CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Mentalist @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Bible, Worst Cooks in America, & Vikings.

vikings310smallVikings premiered to great ratings last Sunday night, as we were transported back to days long ago, when men cared about conquering and discovery. We watched as Ragnar devised ideas to head East and take the new world. I was in awe of the cinematography, and its beauty was second only to the superb dialogue. Overall, it was a gem from the moment it flashed across my screen. If you haven’t given this new series a try, you are missing out on pure TV viewing pleasure.

On tonight’s episode, “Wrath of the Northmen,” the stage is set for the first journey west by Ragnar Lothbrok as he gathers a crew willing to risk their lives to travel into the unknown. Earl Haraldson’s paranoia reaches new heights as it becomes apparent that trust is hard to come by in this dark era.

To fall in love with the ways of the Vikings, tune in to History at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Vikings @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching Once Upon a Time, The Amazing Race, Red Widow, The Walking Dead, The Mentalist, and The Bible.

shameless310smallShameless has been so good (and oh so wrong) this season! Last week, Sheila gave Hymie to Timmy Wong and his mother, and her own daughter returned home. Debbie staged an elaborate plan to escape her sweat shop of a foster home. Meanwhile, Fiona came up with a plan to get custody of her siblings. She officially killed off Aunt Ginger and got a body from the morgue to use as proof and had Lip file a forged will that left the house to her. However, the clerk told Lip that a Patrick Gallagher had already filed a will that superseded his.

Steve wasn’t too happy about Fiona getting custody and the idea that the two of them would never have a place alone. It will be interesting to see how long he lets that fester before he tells her. Also, I can’t wait to see how this whole Patrick Gallagher twist plays out—what kind of messed-up plan will the kids come up with to get their house back?! Plus, I’m looking forward to seeing more of that so hilarious yet so absolutely wrong story line of Kevin trying to get his mother-in-law, the surrogate, pregnant.

On tonight’s episode, “When There’s a Will,” at the gathering for Aunt Ginger’s fake funeral, the family meet Frank’s wily cousin Patrick, who might just be devious enough to “out-Gallagher” the Gallaghers.

See what the family thinks of Patrick tonight on Showtime at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Shameless @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Amazing Race, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Once Upon a Time, Revenge, Red Widow, The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, Worst Cooks in America, The Walking Dead, and Vikings.

onceuponatime310smallThe last few episodes of Once Upon a Time have been a real gem! The stakes have been interesting and the links between the characters have been explored. The revelations are continuing, and as for the storytelling, it is starting to follow The Vampire Diaries, which is a good thing.

On tonight’s episode, “The Miller’s Daughter,” Cora resumes her plan to become The Dark One as Rumpelstiltskin and Mary Margaret are tempted by dark magic once again. And in the fairytale land that was, Rumpelstiltskin challenges a younger Cora (Rose McGowan) to spin straw into gold.

Watch Rumpelstiltskin and Cora battle it out in on ABC at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Once Upon a Time @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching Revenge and The Walking Dead.
