I saw the funniest thing earlier this week… Oiled wrestling from Turkey. Buff, hot guys, covered in olive oil, and wrestling in the grass—but to win, they basically have to stick their hand down their opponent’s pants to then pin them. What they’re grabbing and why, I have no idea…but the pictures & the video? A combination of hysterical and oh-so-hot. Then last night, I got to see my pick win on The Taste, as well as watched the Duggar family visit Japan and China, which was incredibly funny. So it was a good night. 🙂 There’s some great TV on tonight, too, which we’re happy to be sharing our opinions about! 😉

My favorite comedy on television right now, The Neighbors, is new tonight. Last week, Reggie Jackson, his parents, and Amber all were trying to learn how to drive. Reggie and Jackie took to it like ducks to water, while Amber and Larry…did not. In the end, it was sweet watching Amber and Marty bond when she told him she was having trouble learning from the Driver’s Ed teacher (Sandra Bernhard, who was HYSTERICAL) and asked him to help her learn…and I absolutely adore when Amber and Larry figure out they have something in common. It’s a sweet friendship of two people who feel slightly off-center and out of the inner circle sometimes.
There are only two episodes left after tonight’s episode, and I have my fingers, toes, eyes, legs, and arms crossed that it will be renewed. Ausiello still has it listed as “A long shot” on TVLine, but I’ve seen miracles happen for shows I thought had no hope, so I haven’t given up yet!
On tonight’s episode, “Sing Like a Larry Bird,” the Bird-Kersees take a trip into the city against the Weaver’s advice to see a Broadway show, leading Larry to decide to put on a musical of his own. When Dick injures himself, the Bird-Kersees risk exposing their true identities by calling 9-1-1.
Don’t miss what is sure to be another fantastic, highly amusing episode tonight on ABC at 8:30/7:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Neighbors @ TV.com.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Americans, Duck Dynasty, Psych, & Restaurant Stakeout.

The Americans has been one of the best new shows to pop up this year. Last week, Elizabeth and Philip were abducted, bound, and interrogated. Someone knew they were KGB and were trying to get them to spill their knowledge. They were beaten and threatened, but the two refused to talk. Then it was revealed that this was all a test by Claudia to see if either of them was the mole who leaked the fact that the FBI encryption codes had been stolen.
Last week’s episode had one of my favorite scenes of the entire series so far. After Claudia revealed the truth about the situation, Elizabeth just lost it and went after her like a mad woman. I was both grinning and horrified while watching Keri Russell beating the ever-living crap out of Margo Martindale! It was awesome! I have really enjoyed this show so far, and I think they do a great job capturing the 80s and working real-life events into the show. Even the side stories are great—last week with the children almost getting abducted while hitchhiking felt very realistic.
On tonight’s episode, “Duty and Honor,” Philip reunites with an old flame, straining his troubled relationship with Elizabeth.
To see how the “reuniting” goes, tune in to FX at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Americans @ TV.com.
I’ll also be watching/recording Survivor, The Neighbors, Whitney, Southland, Psych, and Workaholics.

Another week, another Whitney. And last week was a gem. Whitney’s sister showed up with her plan to get a sex change operation. And of course, Whitney’s pained reactions and the hilarious questions she had were amazing. Last week also gave some much-needed exploration of RJ, especially because replacing Neal with him so far wasn’t really necessary.
On tonight’s episode, “Nesting,” Alex convinces Whitney to go on a honeymoon to his parents’ lake house, but it turns out Alex’s father is there. Meanwhile Mark, Lily, and Roxanne make themselves comfortable in their friends’ house and discover some weird habits.
Find out what weird habits they find on NBC at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Whitney @ TV.com.
I’ll also be watching American Idol.
