Thank goodness it’s Tuesday. *snicker* My kiddo heads back to school today after his week home for spring break. To make it all the sweeter, there’s some great television on tonight, so we’re here to give you our oh-so-humble recommendations. 😉
Jenny’s Choice
Leon Vance is absolutely killing me with heartbreak on NCIS. His search to find a nanny just hammered home how broken up his is still about his wife’s death. Speaking of heartbreaking, last week’s case was one of the saddest things I’ve seen on that show ever. The dog lying down after his handler had been shot just made me sob. Then when the dog was shot, and again at the end, when the wife was sitting with Gibbs at her husband’s funeral, and the dog came over and Gibbs told her he was retired and she could keep him… All around, I cried for most of the episode. It was great.
The promos for this episode make it look like it’s going to be another good one. I love McGee, and it’s going to focus on him more than the others for a change. It should be fun. 🙂
On tonight’s episode, “Squall,†a massive storm brings the NCIS team aboard the USS Borealis, where everyone becomes a suspect once the crime scene proves that Mother Nature wasn’t the only culprit. Tension builds when McGee discovers that his estranged father, Navy Admiral John McGee, was on board during the incident. Jamey Sheridan (Homeland, Law & Order: CI), Joel Gretsch (V, The 4400), Reggie Austin (Life UneXpected, The Starter Wife), & Zane Holtz (Make It or Break It) guest star.

Megan’s Choice #1
Hell’s Kitchen has been anything but boring so far this season—especially in the dorms. Gina departed, citing personal issues, but frankly, I couldn’t be happier. That girl was cray-cray. The women schooled the men in lobster cleaning to win a luxurious reward of lunch on a yacht. Then at dinner service, both teams fell short and ended up having to nominate people. In the end, Christian was eliminated for his terrible performance cooking the scallops. I honestly think my cat could have done a better job.
Overall, I’m loving this season, but have yet to have any clear favorites. Maybe tonight will change that. Before the new episode, check out my call with Chef Gordon Ramsay.
On tonight’s episode, “17 Chefs Compete,” it’s off to the races when Chef Ramsay leads the first ever HK 3K run with the help of Olympic athletes Maurice Greene, Natalie Coughlin, and Danell Leyva. Meanwhile, the red team and blue team must beat the clock and prepare a healthy lunch for the hungry runners. The winning team sets off in a private jet to California’s wine country, while the losing team scrubs down the race course and prepares for dinner service. Later, tempers flare during dinner service when communication fails on both teams, and Chef Ramsay must step in when a fight breaks out between two teammates.

Kyle’s Choice
Face Off has been really good this season, and tonight, a winner will be picked. Last week, it was a Defiance-themed competition, where the final 4 contestants had to combine two of the alien races of the upcoming Syfy series into a new mutant race. It was so cool watching this episode, having been to the set last October and having seen some of these characters in person! In the end, it was the freaky-looking Eric Fox who went home for his Sensoth/99er patworked hybrid. This leaves Kris, Anthony, and Wayne still competing for the big prize. I’m rooting for Anthony to win, but I can’t wait to see what all three of these guys come up with in tonight’s final showdown. I’m also happy that Face Off has already been picked up for fifth season to air this summer!
On tonight’s episode, “Living the Dream,” the final three contestants travel to Las Vegas, where they create waterproof looks for the show “Le Reve: The Dream.”

JJ’s Choice
Last week’s Smash was both infuriating and liberating. Jack was at least somewhat nice in signing over the rights to Bombshell, but why the hell would Karen give up a lead on a Broadway show? And she did look and sound spectacular next to Jimmy, but she obviously “belongs†to Jack. Time to make that happen soon. And with Smash getting a burn-off on Saturdays, let’s hope the season (who are we kidding, series…) finale gives some closure for the show.
On tonight’s episode, “The Bells and Whistles,” Tom finds himself in an uncomfortable position when Ivy brings Sam back to town, Jimmy and Derek clash over “Hit List,” and Karen and Ana stand up for what they want.

Megan’s Choice #2
NCIS: LA returns this week to wrap up the two-part story where we are introduced to the Red team. While I really enjoyed the idea of the Red team, as well as the members of the team (Kim Raver and Scott Grimes, I heart you.), I feel like they should have done this episode in a full 2-hour block instead of making us wait. Truth be told, I hate waiting. 🙂 Overall, the idea of a team of NCIS agents who live together and are ready to go in a moment’s notice all over the world where there is no home NCIS base is intriguing. I believe it has real potential.
We left off with the teams chasing Robert Spears as the man who has been doing the killing, while working with other terrorists. Paris also had an obvious disdain for the fact that her old partner will be joining the Red team. This smells like trouble to me, but I love John Corbett and hope to see more of him.
On tonight’s episode, “Red: Part Two,” while the LA team chases leads digitally and locally, the NCIS: Red team travels in their mobile trucks, nicknamed “Laverne and Shirley,†in a race to track down a cunning terrorist before he disappears.
