Well, we’ve reached the middle of the week. YAY! It’s been a pretty busy summer so far, including lots of swimming, fishing, and camping on my part. Unfortunately, while all of you are enjoying new television tonight, I’ll be camping with my fiancee and five children… I miss my TV already. 🙂 On that note, let’s see what you should be watching tonight.
MasterChef has been a must-see for me every week this season because of the competition level as well as the contestants. I don’t care that no one likes Krissi, because I admire her work ethic and the fact she knows she’s not there for anyone but herself. Last week, we watched as Bethy crashed and burned with her mushroom dish, ultimately sending her packing.
On tonight’s episode, “Top 8 Compete,” the “hunger games” takes on a new meaning when the home cooks are taken to a remote field, where they will split into two teams and compete in MasterChef’s first-ever overnight challenge. The contestants will have only a limited box of supplies to cook for sustenance, as well as an impressive lunch for the judges. The winning team is safe from elimination, while the losing team faces an intimidating spun sugar dessert pressure test.
To find out who comes out on top in a challenge that will test the survival of the fittest, tune in to FOX at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching Spell-Mageddon, Top Chef Masters, Joe Rogan Questions Everything, and The Bridge.

I didn’t start watching Top Chef Masters until two seasons ago (or was it just a season?! Actually, I think I’ve seen one season of it and one season of the original Top Chef), but I loved it immediately. Why it took me so long to get into this show, I have no idea. As I said the other night, I’m really big into cooking competition shows, and this one is top-notch. It doesn’t hurt that the adorably cute and sexy Curtis Stone hosts. 😉 I love the judges & challenges, and the “Masters” portion of the Top Chef franchise is fun because there seems to be a little more professionalism.
Tonight is the season premiere, and this season should be really interesting because there’s a big twist: each Master will have his or her sous chef compete in an online competition, Battle of the Sous Chefs. The results of each online episode directly impacts the Masters, awarding them advantages, such as immunity and sometimes, disadvantages, depending on their sous chef’s performance. Fun!
On tonight’s episode, “Sous Chefs and Skydives,” thirteen celebrated chefs arrive in Los Angeles, and in their first elimination challenge, they must cook in the great outdoors for a professional skydiving team. But in order to get an extra hour of cook time, the chefs must be willing to take a dive themselves.
Find out who jumps for time tonight on Bravo at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Melissa & Joey, America’s Got Talent, MasterChef, Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy, Spell-Mageddon, Hot in Cleveland, Top Shot, The Exes, & The Soul Man.
Tonight, Syfy kicks off the new 6-part series Joe Rogan Questions Everything. Best known as the host of Fear Factor, Joe Rogan returns to TV. This time, he’s traveling around the country, trying to solve unexplained mysteries and debunk various fringe science subjects, such as the existence of Bigfoot, aliens, and the afterlife. He will also look at government conspiracies, such as weaponizing weather, creating psychic soldiers, and man-made diseases that will end the world. It sounds like it could be an interesting series.
On tonight’s premiere, “Bigfoot Human Hybrid,” the existence of Bigfoot is investigated.
See if Joe finds the hairy creature tonight on Syfy at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Big Brother, Camp, MasterChef, Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy, Spell-Mageddon, The Bridge, Top Chef Masters, Franklin & Bash, Royal Pains, and Futurama.
The live episode didn’t quite work for me, so I had a little backlog on keeping up with the new episodes of Hot in Cleveland. But now that I’ve caught up again, I couldn’t be more excited that it was only one episode that (really…) didn’t work. Last week was especially sweet and funny, with Victoria being selfless while still maintaining her semi-awful personality.
On tonight’s episode, “No Glove, No Love,” in hopes to help her jailed fiancée, Victoria hires a shady lawyer, who has his own personal agenda with Melanie. Tom Arnold guest stars.
I’ll also be watching Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy, MasterChef, and The Challenge.
