Back to school shopping is exhausting—not to mention expensive. I feel like I’ve run a marathon getting ready to send the kids back to school, but boy am I ready for that day. Tonight, I’m going to soak my feet and relax after a day of errands and planning; so while I do that, let’s see what you should be watching.
Megan’s Choice
Cutthroat Kitchen has quickly become a fun family show to watch. My teenage son and I love watching cooking shows together, and we are both loving this. There’s the cooking aspect, but the sabotage and competition are very interesting. Overall, if you love cooking shows but you also love a little bit of reality TV hype, you should definitely tune in to this.
On tonight’s episode, “Tac’o the Town,” the chefs are forced to make tacos with bologna; the chefs try to derail each other’s Eggs Benedict.

I am really loving this season of Unforgettable. I find I don’t totally miss the old cast, simply because I’m quite enjoying the new one—I particularly love techie Jay. Last week, Carrie’s mentor, the man who helped her figure out and understand her unique memory, was killed. It was kind of heartbreaking to watch, and then to find out the reason behind it…really just tragic. I loved the glimpse into Carrie’s past.
On tonight’s episode, “Past Tense,” Carrie and Al’s latest case, the murder of an Afghani cab driver, has the potential to turn into a matter of national security when it’s discovered that the victim was a government informant.
Find out if they can solve the case before they have to bring in the feds tonight on CBS at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Family Dance Off, The Great Food Truck Race, Cutthroat Kitchen, Iron Chef America, & Brother vs Brother.
Kyle’s Choice
Breaking Bad is off to a great start this year! Last week, Hank confronted Skylar to try to get her to talk about Walter’s crimes. However, she quickly discovered that Hank had no real evidence and refused to say anything without a lawyer. So Hank tried a different tactic, by having Marie try to convince her sister to talk. However, this broke out into a fight, with Marie slapping her sister and trying to steal her baby. Meanwhile, Walter emptied the storage unit and hid the money in the desert; Lydia called in Todd to eliminate her cooks, who refused to improve the quality of her product; and Jesse was brought in for questioning when he was seen giving away millions of dollars—and Hank saw this as a new opportunity to get evidence on his brother-in-law.
How far will Hank go with Jesse to make him to give up Walter, and will Jesse crack under the pressure? Does Walt Jr. know what’s going on yet? Will Walter make a run for it, and will Skylar and the kids join him? What’s going on with Madrigal, and will Walt or Jesse get sucked back into that world? This is such a tense final season—I can’t believe there are only 6 episodes left!
On tonight’s episode, “Confessions,” Jesse decides to make a change; Walt and Skyler face an unexpected demand.

JJ’s Choice
Last week, the Genoa story on The Newsroom unfolded in spectacular fashion, and Jerry turned out to be a huge douche. He edited the interview to say that Seran gas was used, even though the statement implied a huge IF. I really don’t care for Jerry, although this season has so far been great for all the other characters and so much better than the first season.
On tonight’s episode, “Res Team III,” Rebecca pieces together the story that led to the decision to air the Genoa story and almost ruining News Night, while this overshadows breaking news during the 9/11 anniversary.
