Today, my daughter headed back to school—the start of grade three! Don’t get me wrong. I adore my kids, and I love spending time with each and every one of them; that said, I was super happy when Chloe got on the bus this morning. It’s been a busy summer, and I’m looking forward to getting back into a routine. Chloe wasn’t so thrilled, but perhaps the special back-to-school dinner I’ll make for her will soften the blow when she gets home. Now that we’re back on schedule and about to jump into the fall TV schedule, let’s see what’s on tonight.

I came to the party a little late where Capture is involved, and I’m so sorry about that. This show is what Hunger Games would be like in my head… Well, without all that pesky killing and stuff. I’m so intrigued by the weekly challenges and seeing who is a good hunter. These teams are tougher than people seemed to originally think, but I’m still shocked weekly by their performances. If you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon and started watching, you definitely should.
On tonight’s episode, “Game Change,” everyone is stunned when Game Master Luke announces a twist so big that it literally changes the outcome of the game. The hunters are blindsided by this new rule and struggle to adapt to the new conditions of the competition.
To see who gets their prey, turn in to The CW at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching Extreme Weight Loss, Chopped, and Whose Line Is It Anyway?.
Jump with us to see else we think you should watch.

I’m a huge fan of cop shows—that’s no secret. And while TNT’s new show isn’t exactly a cop show…it is. Real-life crime series Cold Justice follows former prosecutor Kelly Siegler and former crime-scene investigator Yolanda McClary as they dig into small-town murder cases that have lingered for years without answers or closure. I don’t know if I’ll enjoy it enough to keep watching, but I have my fingers crossed that it’s interesting enough to…well, hold my interest.
On tonight’s episode, “Small Town Suicide?†Siegler and McClary head to Cuero, Texas, to search for new clues that may point to murder in a 2001 death of a woman that had been previously ruled a suicide.
Find out if the women uncover new clues tonight on TNT at 10/9c.

I’m still really enjoying the new Syfy series Heroes of Cosplay. It’s fascinating to take a look behind the scenes at this whole other subculture of people who create elaborate costumes to compete at conventions. Last week, the cosplayers went to Megacon, in Florida, where Yaya’s mentee Riki took the $1000 first runner-up prize for her amazing Rocketeer costume. Holly and Jessica competed against each another for the first time, since they couldn’t figure out how to make Tank Girl and Laliari (from Galaxy Quest) into one cohesive story. And Becky competed as Taffyta (from Wreck-It Ralph), but airport security lost a piece of the giant foam car she and her boyfriend spent hours creating, so she had to go on stage without it. It’s amazing how they are able to create these costumes in just a few days—I’m looking forward to seeing what these folks come up with next!
On tonight’s episode, “Anime Matsuri,” the cosplayers attend the annual Anime Matsuri convention in Houston.
I’ll also be watching/recording Capture, Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis, Chopped, Rizzoli & Isles, Covert Affairs, Suits, and Face Off.

Tonight, it’s time for the performance finale of So You Think You Can Dance, and I’m very interested to see what we’re getting. For me, this season suffered greatly from the new format, because I didn’t seem to get very invested in the dancers unfortunately. And the ratings have been very so-so, meaning the end for SYTYCD might be close.
As far as the remaining dancers go, I’m secretly hoping for a 2-girl finish and leaving Aaron and Fik-Shun. Fik-Shun “deserves” the title favorite dancer, but I always love it when more well-rounded dancers get far. Aaron is good, but I preferred Tucker as far as the male dancers went. As for Amy and Jasmine, it’s a toss up. Both seem well-rounded, and I like then both as dancers.
On tonight’s episode, “Top 4 Perform,†the final four dancers perform for your votes for the final time to decide who will become your favorite male and female dancer. (And of course, you all read that sentence with the voice of Cat in your mind, right?).
Watch the final performances of the season tonight on FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Suits.

I can’t say enough how fun Whose Line Is It Anyway? is and how glad I am to have it back on TV. I’m sad that we’re just a few weeks away from the end of the season, but it’s already been renewed for another one, so that makes me very happy. I’ve loved most of the guests they’ve had on, minus a couple. I hope they continue to have on TV stars—although, I think they’d be wise to branch out away from just shows airing on The CW. Having said that, Wilson Bethel was one of my favorites, and he’s from Hart of Dixie, so… *laugh*
On tonight’s episode, “Maggie Q,†another CW star, Maggie Q, who plays the titular character on Nikita, guests as the cast (including comedian Nyima Funk from SuperNews!) comes up with amazingly funny stuff off the tops of their heads.
Laugh with me tonight on The CW at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing So You Think You Can Dance, Capture, Covert Affairs, Rizzoli & Isles, Chopped, & The Little Couple.
