Happy Tuesday! Today is the busiest day of my week for TV. That’s good, because I’m busy working on stuff that I can do while I watch. Yay for multitasking! So to help you sort through what is a very busy night of new TV, we have some recommendations for you. 🙂

I’m so sad because tonight is the summer finale for Rizzoli & Isles. It’s been an interesting season so far, especially with the Maura & her father story line and the addition of Lt. Martinez and the obvious chemistry between him and Jane. I’m glad nothing happened between them, though, since I love her with Casey. Here’s hoping that tonight’s episode doesn’t screw that up! Last week, my heart broke for the young woman who watched her mother die during her mock trial event. I did love how Jane & the gang fooled the crooked warden by Jane pretending to have…female problems. LOL It works every time! 😉
I’m also curious as to how the show is going to handle Lee Thompson Young’s death. Have they already filmed all of this season, or had they just done up to the summer finale? If they’ve already filmed the entire season, then they have a while to figure it out. If not, they don’t have a lot of time. I don’t think we’ll see anything about his character’s end on the show tonight, but it’s food for thought.
On tonight’s episode, “Partners in Crime,†the squad rushes to solve a violent homicide case muddled by conflicting evidence. Maura is burdened with the major decision of whether to take in her recently paroled grandfather (guest star Richard Herd). Meanwhile, Jane and Casey (guest star Chris Vance) are forced to decide between their careers and their romantic relationship.
Find out what decision Maura makes and how Jane and Casey leave their relationship tonight on TNT at 9/8c.

I’ve been watching Who Do You Think You Are? on and off all season, and I really enjoy watching these stars find out more about their pasts. Discovering where you came from is a part of knowing yourself better, and the people involved are always so shocked and thankful to find out new details. There have been some great episodes, but I’m really looking forward to tonight’s, because it features Jim Parsons from The Big Bang Theory. It’s no secret that I love Big Bang, but I also adore Jim Parsons. He is such a delightful guy on and off screen, and the talent just oozes off him. I think it’s going to be very interesting to see him travel through the past to discover his roots, don’t you?
On tonight’s episode, “Jim Parsons,” actor Jim Parsons explores his paternal ancestry; Jim’s journey takes him to Louisiana and France, where he discovers his forefathers who made a mark in history.
To watch this amazing guy flip through his family’s history books, tune in to TLC at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching The Million Second Quiz and So You Think You Can Dance.

Tonight, the Sons of Anarchy ride again for the start of the show’s sixth season. Last year, Jax and Tig killed Pope to get revenge for Opie’s and Tig’s daughter’s deaths. Clay was kicked out of the Sons, but that wasn’t enough for Jax, who wanted him dead. So Jax and Gemma set Clay up to take the fall for Pope’s murder. Meanwhile, Tara was taken into custody and charged with conspiracy to commit murder after Otto tricked her into smuggling a weapon into prison for him; and Wendy threatened to take back custody of her son.
So what can we expect this season? Will Tara’s and/or Clay’s charges be swiftly dismissed? Will Pope’s men be coming after the Sons for revenge? Will Jax find a way to avoid becoming just like Clay? And will Lee Toric go after Tara for her part in Otto’s murdering of his sister?
On tonight’s episode, “Straw,” Jax pursues legitimate business opportunities for SAMCRO.
I’ll also be watching/recording Capture, Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis, Chopped, Rizzoli & Isles, Covert Affairs, Suits, Face Off, and Heroes of Cosplay.

It’s been an enjoyable season of So You Think You Can Dance for me. JJ hasn’t liked the format because he doesn’t feel like he got to know the dancers well, but I have to disagree. No, I don’t like the format either, simply because I think it’s unfair for the bottom dancers to then have to dance and perform while they know their fate is (or was, in the case of the dancer who is sent to safety early) in the air. But I got to know the dancers well enough, I think. I’m totally rooting for Amy & Fik-Shun. I’ve loved them both from the beginning. Either way, whoever wins will deserve it, because all of the Top 4 have been great.
On tonight’s episode, “Winner Chosen,†Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, along with special guest judges Adam Shankman, tWitch, and Paula Abdul, are on hand to announce this season’s favorite male and female dancers, and the winners are crowned.
To find out if your favorites win the competition, tune in to the 2-hour episode on FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Million Second Quiz, Capture, Covert Affairs, America’s Got Talent, Chopped, Cold Justice, & The Little Couple.
