It’s a relatively slow night tonight, but it’s the start of a VERY busy week on TV. There’s still some fun stuff on, though, (including the series finales of Dexter & Copper), so check out what we’re recommending! 🙂

It’s been another good season of The Great Food Truck Race, and I’m fairly happy with the final three teams. Last week, The Slide Show went home, which was sad, but out of the four teams last week, they were who I was hoping for, simply because I didn’t feel like I knew them as well as the others. Out of the ones that are left—Aloha Plate, Philly’s Finest Sambonis, & Tikka Tikka Taco—I’m rooting for Aloha Plate, simply because I just love those guys. But honestly, I’m going to be okay with whoever wins. Philly’s Finest has had some major issues throughout the season, but they’ve been able to keep themselves in the race regardless, which is impressive. Tikka Tikka and Aloha are all just really nice guys. So it’ll be a fun final two episodes for me.
On tonight’s episode, “Chicago is a Food Truck Kinda Town,” the three remaining teams find a big surprise waiting for them at their next stop, Chicago, where the race takes on an exciting new turn.
Find out the surprise and see who goes home tonight on Food Network at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off & Cutthroat Kitchen.

It’s that time of year again—time for the The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, where our favorite TV stars are honored for their achievements. This is one award show that I always look forward to watching, because it’s a night that celebrates what I watch the most: TELEVISION! This year’s is being hosted by the incredible Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), which makes it that much more amazing!
On tonight’s 3-hour special, we will honor excellence in television at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
To see if your favorite show takes home an award, tune in to CBS at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching Rachael vs Guy: Kids Cook-Off and The Great Food Truck Race.

Last week was such an amazing episode of Breaking Bad—possibly the best of the series so far. Todd’s uncle and his army executed Hank and took all but one of Walter’s barrels of money. As they dragged Jesse away to be tortured and forced to cook, a vindictive Walter told Jesse the truth about how he let Jane die. Meanwhile, Walt Junior learned the truth about his father, and when Walt arrived at home and tried to force his family to leave with him, Skyler pulled a kitchen knife on him. After a tense struggle over the knife, Walter kidnapped Holly and drove away. Later, Walter called Skyler, and knowing the police were listening in, he took the blame for everything, ensuring she was exonerated for any part she had played. Walter left Holly at a fire station and used Saul’s contact to relocate under a new identity.
Despite conflicting with The Emmys and the series finale of Dexter, the thing I will be watching live tonight is the penultimate episode of Breaking Bad. This show has been absolute perfection in this final season and has really raised the bar for all of TV! Tonight, we may finally learn why Walter was in NH buying that huge gun in the season premiere, as well as whom he plans to use it on—is it Todd’s uncle and his men, or someone/something else?! As we get closer to the series finale, anything is possible, and as we saw last week, no one is safe!
On tonight’s episode, “Granite State,” events set in motion long ago move toward a conclusion.
See how the beginning of the end goes on tonight’s new 75-minute episode on AMC at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Dexter, Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off, The Great Food Truck Race, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Talking Bad.
