If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/13/13

Ahh, Sunday… Halfway through the weekend, but the start of a new week of TV. So it’s good and bad news! 🙂 Megan is off celebrating Thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving… *shakes head*) and JJ is catching up on TV from last week, so Kyle & I are here to give you our recommendations. 🙂

thementalist1013smallThe Mentalist is narrowing down the list of Red John suspects each week. Last week, CBI Director Gale Bertram, Sheriff Thomas McAllister, & Ray Haffner were spending a lot of time together, which made Jane and Lisbon VERY suspicious. Since Brett Partridge’s death on the season premiere, those three are half of the suspects left on the Red John list. The other three are Reede Smith, Robert Kirkland, Sheriff Thomas McCallister, and Bret Stiles. Also last week, Red John killed Jane’s therapist, whom he spoke to after his family’s murders. Even though we didn’t actually see much of it, it was gruesome, because Jane found the woman’s head in her oven.

I’m so excited for tonight’s episode, because I love Rigsby & Van Pelt. The previews showed a really great story line for them, and I hope they aren’t pulling a fast one on us!

On tonight’s episode, “Wedding in Red,” Jane gets the CBI involved in a case in Napa in order to focus on Sheriff McAllister, while Van Pelt and Rigsby take a trip down the aisle. Xander Berkeley guest stars.

To see if Grace & Wayne make it down the aisle for real, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing America’s Funniest Home Videos, Cousins Undercover, Cutthroat Kitchen, Witches of East End, & Halloween Wars.

thewalkingdead1013smallTonight, The Walking Dead returns for the start of its fourth season. When we last left off, The Governor had stabbed his right-hand man, Milton, leaving him to bleed out in a room with a chained-up Andrea. Meanwhile, the Woodburians staged an attack on the prison. Rick and his men fought them off, but when they tried to desert, The Governor gunned them all down and then took off himself. Rick and the gang made their way to Woodbury, but not in time to save Andrea—she had struggled to get free, but not before she was bitten by Zombie Milton.

So where is The Governor and when will he be back? Can the remaining Woodbury folks be trusted, and will they now join Rick’s gang at the prison? In the finale, Carl shot a young Woodbury boy—has he completely lost his innocence and become an emotionless killer? What will be the next big threat to our gang of survivors? I can’t wait for tonight’s premiere!

On tonight’s episode, “30 Days Without an Accident,” Rick and the group aim to maintain a close-to-ideal life at the prison.

Note: Stay tuned immediately following tonight’s season premiere for the season premiere of the Talking Dead after-show hosted by Chris Hardwick!

See if/how the group makes their daily life better tonight on AMC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Amazing Race, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Once Upon a Time, Cutthroat Kitchen, Drop Dead Diva, Witches of East End, Hello Ladies, Homeland, and Masters of Sex.
