It’s Monday, which means back to work for most people, but that’s okay. While tonight might not have as big a list of new shows on as some of the other days this week, what episodes ARE on are well worth watching. Kyle’s headed out of town, so tonight, it’s just Megan, JJ, and I giving you our recommendations. 🙂

Bones fans have waited eight seasons to get to this point. Last week, we watched as Booth and Bones started preparing for their wedding, all while trying to solve the murder of a cancer patient who had been working on his bucket list. That prompted everyone on the team to start their own lists, and it was cute watching what each of them came up with. But tonight, eight seasons of wishing and waiting and hoping come to fruition as the wedding day has finally arrived. Of course, it wouldn’t be Bones if it went off without a hitch, but I promise you, I’ve seen tonight’s episode, and it DOES happen—and happen extraordinarily beautifully and perfect, at that. We get to see people that we haven’t seen in way too long, as well as some new friends. It’s a wedding in spectacular Bones fashion, and as a shipper, it’s one of my favorite episodes in all eight (and a few episodes) seasons. (Click the pictures to see the full-size versions!)
On tonight’s episode, “The Woman in White,” the Jeffersonian team investigates the murder of Nancy Handelman, whose body was discovered at the time of Brennan and Booth’s wedding rehearsal. When the case becomes more serious than the team anticipated, Cam and Angela do everything in their power to keep the details of the investigation from Brennan in order to ensure that she will stay focused on her big day. Tensions run high when unfortunate events occur to stall the wedding temporarily, and Max (guest star Ryan O’Neal) comes to town with a suspicious duffle bag full of money. Patricia Belcher (AUSA Caroline Julian), Mather Zickel (Aldo Clemens), Eugene Byrd (Dr. Clark Edison), Pej Vahdat (Arastoo Vaziri), Michael Grant Terry (Wendell Bray), Carla Gallo (Daisy Wick), Brian Klugman (Dr. Oliver Wells), Joel David Moore (Colin Fisher), Cyndi Lauper (Avalon Harmonia), Joanna Cassidy (Marianne Booth), Ralph Waite (Hank Booth), Ty Panitz (Parker Booth), & David Hornsby (Emily Deschanel’s real-life husband!) also guest star.
See the epiciness that is the Booth/Brennan wedding tonight on FOX at 8/7c.

I was a little hesitant about Mom in the beginning, because I wasn’t sure it could make the often offside jokes work and still have a decent story line, but they’ve done it. There are so many things that are amusing about this show, but what I really enjoy is the relationship between Christy (Anna Faris) and her mom, Bonnie (Allison Janney). It’s so disfunctional, yet they are working towards making up for their past. Combined, it makes for some hilarious scenes. This show definitely has more to give than people thought, and if you haven’t given it a chance, I highly recommend you do.
On tonight’s episode, “Six Thousand Bootleg T-Shirts and a Prada,” Christy’s new friend comes with big problems; Bonnie tries to put someone else’s needs before her own.
To watch a family dynamic that will make you thankful for your mother, tune into CBS at 8:30/7:30c.
I’ll also be watching Bones, The Voice, Hart of Dixie, The Blacklist, Hostages, 2 Broke Girls, and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Last week’s Castle was a great reintroduction of Beckett (& frankly, of Castle, too) into the 12th Precinct. One of Castle’s biggest fans woke up, only to find her boyfriend dead. She knew she’d be blamed, so she ran from the cops and took a dentist, his assistant, and three patients hostage. When the police tried to talk to her, she said she’d only talk to Richard Castle. In the end, she was innocent and had been set up by her birth father’s son-in-law. There was a sweet scene at the end between the woman and her birth father. I loved it. And because the birth father was in big with the police chief (or commissioner…someone…), Beckett got her job back. Yay!
On tonight’s episode, “Time Will Tell,” a grisly murder investigation leads Castle and Beckett to a suspect who claims he’s traveled back in time to stop terrible events from unfolding, events that will change the course of human history. Is he simply a deluded killer, or is it possible that he’s telling the truth. Joshua Gomez (Chuck) guest stars.
Find out what’s going on tonight on ABC at 10:01/9:01c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, & The Blacklist.

Last week’s 2 Broke Girls was hilarious to me, as an employee of a major green coffee retailer. The speed of the orders, the ridiculousness of some of the names (“Gregg with three G’s”), and the amount of information you get on a first shift were all so recognizable!
On tonight’s episode, “And the Cronuts,” when Max and Caroline start losing business to the new cronut craze (half donut, half croissant), they come up with their own trend: cake fries.
Find out if it works on CBS at 8:30/7:30c.
I’ll also be watching Dancing with the Stars, How I Met Your Mother, and Castle.
