Tonight is the series premiere of Bakery Boss on TLC at 9/8c. The show features Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro as he travels across the country, bringing his famous blend of business skills and baking expertise to help other bakers that are struggling to make their American dreams come true. Buddy will spend time helping a family in crisis, both personally and professionally, evaluating their every ingredient and technique, and challenging them to make big changes all in an effort to transform their crumbling dream into a sweet success.
Following that, it’s the series premiere of Best Funeral Ever on TLC at 10/9c, with a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. For most of us, death is a time to mourn and shed tears for the departed. For others, it’s a time to honor their loved ones and celebrate the life through services that reinvent the traditional funeral. The Dallas-based Golden Gate Funeral Home is where John Beckwith Jr. and his staff organize the most unique funerals in the country, called home-going celebrations. No expense is spared as Beckwith and his team creates memories that will last forever. Starting with the deceased’s occupation or passion in life, the Golden Gate staff works with the families to create a central theme for a memorial and then elevates it to an unforgettable party. The end goal is to create a celebration as unique as the person they loved with an equally unique party.
Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Rick and Morty on Cartoon Network at 10:30/9:30c. From creators and executive producers Dan Harmon (Community) and Justin Roiland, the new half-hour animated series is about a sociopathic scientist who drags his unintelligent grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. After missing for nearly 20 years, Rick Sanchez (Justin Roiland) suddenly arrives at his daughter Beth’s (Sarah Chalke) doorstep looking to move in with her and her family. Beth welcomes him with open arms, but her unremarkable husband Jerry (Chris Parnell) isn’t too thrilled about the tearful reunion as Rick’s arrival serves to shake things up quite a bit around the household. Rick converts the garage into his personal laboratory and gets to work on all sorts of dangerous sci-fi gadgets and contraptions. That wouldn’t be so bad if not for the fact that Rick continues to involve his grandchildren Morty (Roiland) and Summer (Spencer Grammer) in his insane adventures.

Tonight is the series premiere of Mob City on TNT 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10/9c. The show chronicles the epic battle between a determined police chief and a dangerous mobster inflames 1940s Los Angeles. Based on the critically acclaimed book L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America’s Most Seductive City, by John Buntin, Mob City opens in post-war Los Angeles, home to glamorous movie stars, powerful studio heads, and returning war heroes. But it’s also a city caught between a powerful and corrupt police force and an even more dangerous criminal network determined to make L.A. its West Coast base. Los Angeles Police Chief William Parker (Neal McDonough, Justified, Desperate Housewives) has made it his mission to free the city of criminals like Ben “Bugsy” Siegel (Ed Burns, Entourage), and Mickey Cohen (Jeremy Luke, Don Jon), the ruthless king of the Los Angeles underworld. Parker also won’t hesitate to go after anyone from his own police force who sells out honor and duty for the sake of a big payout. To carry out his sweep of organized crime, Parker sets up a new mob task force within the LAPD. Headed by Det. Hal Morrison (Jeffrey DeMunn, The Walking Dead, The Shawshank Redemption), the task force includes Det. Joe Teague (Jon Bernthal, The Walking Dead), an ex-Marine who holds his cards close to his chest. Viewers will follow a team of paranormal investigators as they research the otherworldly activity at historical sites and explore the gruesome back story of the infamous and heinous individuals who operated out of each location. The team will stop at nothing as they dig deep into the crimes and victims to determine if they are the cause of the present-day haunting. Investigations this season focus on historical figures including Jack the Ripper (London), Dracula-inspiration Vlad the Impaler (Romania) and the bloodthirsty Borgias (Italy). After a lifetime of unbridled hedonism drinking and sleeping her way up and down Broadway Tony winning diva Madison Banks (Kirstie Alley) is confronted by something far more shocking than her usual opening night key parties: Arlo Barth, the son (Eric Petersen) she gave up for adoption 26 years ago. Maddie has played countless roles on stage, but one part shes not fit to play is anyones mother. Racked with guilt and completely out of her element, Maddie almost denies her son a second time how can an acclaimed actress and noted head case like Maddie possibly relate to a Jersey donut maker? But with the help of her long-suffering assistant and best friend Thelma Katz (Rhea Pearlman) and her eccentric chauffeur Frank Baxter (Michael Richards), Maddie realizes that Arlo is a diamond in the rough and invites him to move into her Park Avenue condo. As Thelma and Frank show Arlo the ropes of Maddies uninhibited, unapologetic and occasionally unhinged life and tries to build a new one of his own in Manhattan this new makeshift family learns that its newest member isnt the only gem that could use a little polish.

Tonight is the series premiere of Courtney Loves Dallas on Bravo at 10/9c.
