It’s the start of a new week, and because of the Olympics, it’s another slow one. But there are some good shows on each night, and for tonight, Kyle & I are here to give you our recommendations. 🙂
One of my favorite shows of the last few years on the Disney Channel is Good Luck Charlie. For four seasons, the Duncan family has entertained children and adults alike. But the time has come for the series finale. Teddy’s best friend Ivy has left for college, and Teddy herself found out she was accepted to Yale. PJ has moved back in with his parents after her & Emmett (who is living there, too) couldn’t pay the rent on their apartment. The Duncans’ journey is coming to an end, and I can’t wait to watch tonight’s 1-hour series finale with my son.
On tonight’s episode, “Good Bye Charlie,” Teddy is getting ready to leave for college and finds it hard to shoot a final video diary for Charlie; Amy and Bob plan a special going-away party for Teddy; Teddy’s former boyfriend, Spencer, pays an unexpected, but welcome visit.
See how it all ends tonight on Disney Channel at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching Chopped & Cutthroat Kitchen.

On last week’s episode of Shameless, Ian finally returned. He went AWOL from the Army and had been working as a bartender at a gay bar—and it was immediately evident to Lip and Debbie that their brother had been uncharacteristically partaking in illegal substances. Meanwhile, Mike transferred Fiona to another department after he found out she had slept with his brother; and Robbie showed up at Fiona’s house looking for a quickie. After spitting in his face and telling him to leave, Fiona discovered that Robbie had accidentally left behind a packet of cocaine, so she decided to throw a wild birthday party for herself. However, the celebration came to an abrupt end when they discovered that little Liam had accidentally ingested the cocaine.
Earlier this week, Showtime sent a press release alerting that tonight’s episode was a pivotal one that features powerhouse performances by series stars Emmy Rossum, Jeremy Allen White, and William H. Macy. This wasn’t just hype—it is a really great, dramatic episode that finds Fiona, Lip, and Frank each facing a major life-changing reality.
On tonight’s episode, “Iron City,” the aftermath of Liam’s accident lands Fiona in county jail, unsure of Liam’s condition or her future. The family, minus Frank, wait nervously for any update on Liam’s status at the hospital. Meanwhile, after almost being killed by the sweat lodge, Frank wakes up in the emergency room and gets some sobering news about his declining health.
To see if this family can pull it together and come out on top, tune in to Showtime at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Downton Abbey, Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, The Walking Dead, Talking Dead, The EE British Academy Film Awards 2014, True Detective, Looking, and Episodes.
