Argh. As much as I’m enjoying watching ice skating (because let’s face it, that’s ALL I’m watching of the Olympics…), I want my shows back, darnit! It was great having Castle and Intelligence on last night, but I really wish NCIS and NCIS: LA were new tonight. That being said, there’s some good stuff on, so check out our recommendations.
Last week, Cougar Town was all about the cul-de-sac garage sale, Jules and bad karma because she lied to customers during said garage sale, Andy being a garage sale hoarder and betting Ellie she couldn’t refrain from being snarky so he could collect a bunch more stuff, and Travis and Bobby overcoming their fear of roller coasters. There were a lot of great, funny scenes, but two of my favorites had to be Jules being too dang honest with the potential home buyers and then the car crashing into her office, and then at the end, when the whole gang showed up to support Bobby & Travis and then they ended up opening the urn during the ride and getting ashes all over everyone behind them. And of course, we lost Big Tippi, the wine “glass” Jules got while in L.A. We were introduced to Big Chuck, which is just an even bigger flower vase and even more ridiculous. Lots of laughs every week for this show!
On tonight’s episode, “Time to Move On,” with Travis graduating college in a few months, Jules starts to worry about his job prospects with an art degree. Laurie and Ellie pose as a couple in a desperate effort to get Stan into a fancy new school. Meanwhile, Andy insists on making a cat video with the guys for Bro-day.
See if Laurie and Ellie can pull off couple-dom tonight on TBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Killer Women.

Pretty Little Liars has been going strong for 4 seasons now, and while we can’t say the same for the Ravenswood spin-off that just got cancelled, at least the original is still doing very well. Last week’s episode was a fun twist, as we took a walk through Spencer’s black and white world, which was filled with retro costumes and fabulous hairstyles. We watched as Spencer used her dream world to sort out everything that has been going on and ended up with Toby giving her a hint to look in Ali’s book that she swiped from Ezra’s classroom. When she woke up, she immediately examined the book and discovered that it had been altered from when they first got it because someone has been trying to throw them off the path. It was a really creative episode, and I can definitely see week after week why this show is doing so well.
On tonight’s episode, “Free Fall,” Spencer’s addiction could get in the way of the girls’ plans.
To see if Spencer can overcome her problem to help the girls, tune in to ABC Family at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching American Idol.
Last week, the contestants of Opposite Worlds finally switched sides of the house, but to keep the teams balanced in numbers, Team Epoch got to choose a member of Team Chronos to stay with them in their new home of the future. They, of course, chose Frank, the power-house of the team. Steve and Danielle were nominated for the elimination challenge, and Steve just barely eked out a victory.
It is interesting to see how the dynamics have changed with Frank on the other team. Is it beneficial for him to stay loyal to his old team, or should he forget them and play for his new team? The strategy involved in this game is interesting—the contestants need to cater to America, who are the ones tweeting and ultimately choosing the winner. However, they don’t want to be viewed as too popular or they may become a target of the other contestants. The stakes have also gotten higher, because starting tonight, someone will be sent home every episode!
On tonight’s episode, “Struggle,” the fifth worldly challenge takes place, and the players receive outrageous rewards and punishments.
Find out which team Frank chooses to support and see who goes home tonight on Syfy at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Cougar Town, Face Off, and Kroll Show.
