I won’t get into it too much, but let me just say that when I read a recap about last night’s How I Met Your Family series finale, I deleted all five episodes of the show I had on my DVR. Why it surprised me, I don’t know, and why producers and the cast thought all their fans would be happy, I don’t know. But this fan was more than a little pissed off. On a good note, there’s some great, great stuff on tonight, so check out our recommendations. 😉
Last week’s NCIS was the first part of the two-part planted pilot for the spin-off, starring Scott Bakula, Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan, & CCH Pounder. I loved the characters and the chemistry between each of them, and New Orleans is a fantastic setting. You could really feel the emotion from Gibbs & Bakula’s Special Agent Pride (or King, as he’s called) because of the victim, who was a man from their past. Tonight is part two. Gibbs and Bishop are still in New Orleans, while the rest of the team is helping to solve the case from home. I really hope the spin-off gets picked up. I’m itching for another good procedural with a great cast, and I think NCIS: NO could be it.
On tonight’s episode, “Crescent City: Part II,” Gibbs and Special Agent Pride chase leads in New Orleans after evidence points to a copycat of the infamous Privileged Killer. Meanwhile, Bishop sends DiNozzo a special souvenir from the Crescent City, as DiNozzo, McGee, and the FBI continue to track political connections to the case from D.C.
See how the teams work together to catch the killer tonight on CBS at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing 19 Kids & Counting, NCIS: LA, The Goldbergs, Growing Up Fisher, Trophy Wife, Cougar Town, The Listener, The Little Couple, & The Person of Interest.

NCIS: LA is really making me nervous with the story lines lately because I have no idea where they are going to go with Kensi and Deeks. Last week, we watched as Kensi was held captive, but we learned that the man she’s been hunting is actually her ex-boyfriend, who went missing years ago. Say what?!? I couldn’t believe it. And then to find out he’s converted to Islam and had a wife… The pain across Kensi’s face was just heart-wrenching. Now Kensi is still being held captive, and I’m hoping our favorite team of agents is going to rescue her sooner than later, because I need Kensi back with the team soon. While the Kensi story was fabulous last week, I really loved everything that went on with Eric and Nell, especially with Eric watching his friend hit on her. I’m fully behind a romance with these two, but I don’t think the writers are going to go down that road completely this season.
On tonight’s episode, “Spoils of War,” Hetty sends the team to Afghanistan on a rescue mission after Special Agent Kensi Blye disappears.
To see if the team can bring our girl home safe, tune in to CBS at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Mindy Project, The Voice, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Person of Interest, Glee, NCIS, and Justified.
On the last episode of The Mindy Project, Mindy and Danny were in LA, and Mindy was anxious to get back home to try to reconcile her relationship with Cliff, but things kept making her miss her flight. While she was stuck on the west coast, Mindy decided to push Danny into reconciling with his father, which went better than planned. Afterward, they finally headed home, but when the plane hit some turbulence, Danny used the moment to finally kiss Mindy!
How will this change Mindy and Danny’s relationship—and the show in general? Was this just a one-time make-out session that the two will try to ignore while trying to see others, or will Danny and Mindy finally try their luck at being a couple? And how will the others in the office react? I’m glad the series took its time to get to this moment and didn’t rush to it during the first season. I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.
On tonight’s first episode, “French Me, You Idiot,” Jeremy and Peter concoct a scheme to poach patients from a rival practice that closed; and Mindy and Danny face the consequences of their moment of intimacy. Then, in the second half-hour, “Indian BBW,” Mindy learns of an incriminating photo of herself that’s making its way around the Internet, so she asks Peter to help keep it from falling into the wrong hands.
Check out the 1-hour spring premiere tonight on FOX at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Goldbergs, Trophy Wife, About a Boy, Growing Up Fisher, Glee, Cougar Town, Chrisley Knows Best, Face Off, and Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge.
