Snow in April—that’s just crazy! At least all of yesterday’s dusting has already melted. The current TV season is starting to wind down a bit, with more and more shows airing their season finales. Tonight, there are four of them on the major networks. However, I’m sure there will be many other shows starting up next week that are eagerly waiting to take those free spots on your DVR.
Tonight is the one-hour season finale of The Crazy Ones. Last week, Simon had just started a relationship with a new woman named Lily (guest star Pam Dawber), and the two were really hitting it off. At the same time, Gordon’s love life was falling apart—his partner of over 20 years had decided to leave him due to his lack of spontaneity. Simon helped Gordon win back his partner, which culminated in Gordon singing a karaoke version of “Wrecking Ball,” but in the process, he ruined things with Lily. Meanwhile, Andrew and Zach managed to pawn the office pariah off on Sydney while they were coming up with a pitch for the Google Glass-like “Smart Specs.”
It was a lot of fun seeing Robin Williams and Pam Dawber reunited on-screen, and they even threw in a couple of fun Mork & Mindy references for the fans. I’ve really enjoyed this series—the cast is hilarious and work well together. I especially enjoy the outtakes they have at the end of each episode. I hope tonight’s episodes are not the last of the series, but the odds don’t sound too good, especially since a month ago, CBS announced renewals for all but 3 of their series, and this was one of the few left out.
On tonight’s first episode, “The Monster,” Simon’s team comes up with a radical way to save a library, and Gordon serves as the campaign’s reluctant poster boy. Then in “The Lighthouse,” the ad agency faces a buyout, and Simon’s ex-wife has the deciding vote. Marilu Henner guest stars.
Check out the final two episodes of the season (series?) tonight on CBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Grey’s Anatomy, Community, Parks and Recreation, Hollywood Game Night, Parenthood, Surviving Jack, and Sirens.

I’m beyond happy about tonight’s Hollywood Game Night. This show delights me every time I watch a new episode. Jane Lynch is brilliant as host. The celebs are fun to watch because 99% of the time, they really let down their hair and relax, and it’s nice seeing them as normal people. And the games they play are always great. This is really one of my favorite shows right now. It’s also one I can watch even with the kiddo in the room and not feel embarrassed at stuff that happens, which unfortunately is happening more and more these days. So it’s great to have something I can rely on to be funny, entertaining, and watching-with-my-16yo-safe.
On tonight’s episode, “50 Charades of Grey,” two contestants will lead a team of three celebrities, which include Wayne Brady, Lauren Cohan, Zachary Levi, Jaime Pressly, Tara Lapinski, and Rachael Ray, in hopes of winning the $25,000 grand prize. A series of unique party games will bring out the best, funniest, and most competitive sides of some of Hollywood’s most beloved stars in this hilarious no-holds-bar competition hosted by Jane Lynch.
See which celebrities make the “greyed” tonight on NBC at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Hell’s Kitchen, Chopped Canada, Surviving Jack, & Beat Bobby Flay.
Hell’s Kitchen has actually not been what I was expecting after all these seasons lately. Usually by now, we have weeded out the worst of the worst and we get to watch some high-level cooking battles. This is not the case. The men’s team is just plain awful, and the women’s team is good, but their teamwork is spotty at times. I can scramble eggs quite well, so tell me why these “chefs” couldn’t handle getting lobster scrambled eggs to the pass in a decent time frame. It was infuriating. All the craziness aside, I still love this show and just hope that these so-called chefs can dig themselves out of this mess.
On tonight’s episode, “15 Chefs Compete,” dinner service takes a turn for the worse when a chef serves undercooked fish.
To see which genius undercooked the fish…AGAIN, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching The Crazy Ones, Scandal, Community, Grey’s Anatomy, Beat Bobby Flay, Chopped Canada, and Hollywood Game Night.
