I’m a nervous mama… My kiddo is taking his written test tonight to get his driver’s permit. Such a scary thing! Everyone cross your fingers! He’s been doing very well on the practice tests online, so… Whether we’ll be watching to celebrate or console tonight, there’s plenty on, and Kyle & I are here to give our recommendations. 🙂
My pick tonight is the new episode of Modern Family. It’s been three weeks since the last one, and it was pretty funny. I wasn’t really fond of Cam when he sent his dad the same photo to use to make a new cake topper, because it really upset Mitch. But Mitch trying to get rid of it was a lot of fun. The story line with Phil & Gloria helping out in her old hairdresser job was funny. Phil is a riot. I didn’t like the Claire/Jay story line, although I did like the food fight.
On tonight’s episode, “Australia,” the entire family tags along as Phil fulfills his mom’s wish for him to return to his roots and visit the country where he was conceived, Australia. Unfortunately, Phil’s attempts to embrace his native land are met by a lot of rejection, while Jay and Claire let work eat into vacation time, and Mitch and Cam get reacquainted with an old friend (guest star Rhys Darby) they can’t stand but is now a big-time celebrity in Australia.
See how the family handles the vacation tonight on ABC at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Mixology, Hot in Cleveland, & The Soul Man.

Another week, another blindside on Survivor! This truly has been the year of the blindside at tribal counsil. Last week, Tony was getting paranoid and once again made one of his manipulative moves. He got LJ to suggest blindsiding Woo so that he could immediately turn around and use that against him with the others. But the rest of the team didn’t really like the idea of turning on their own group—they had the numbers, so why mess that up?! Meanwhile, LJ suggested that his alliance split their votes between Spenser and Jeremiah to ensure one of them went home. What he didn’t count on was the paranoid Tony and upset Woo flipping their votes, causing him to be the one sent home.
I’m glad Spencer lasted another week and didn’t have to use his idol. He was the only smart one on the former “Brains” tribe, and I’ve been rooting for him to win. I really hope Tony goes soon—not only is he really annoying, but he is just too unpredictable!
On tonight’s episode, “Sitting in My Spy Shack,” the castaways receive letters from home. Meanwhile, Tony embarks on a stakeout to gather inside information; and Woo falls from a tree when he tries to collect coconuts.
See if Woo’s okay tonight on CBS at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Middle, Suburgatory, Modern Family, The 100, Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy, The Americans, Flipping Out, and Save My Bakery.
