Tonight is the series premiere of Bachelor in Paradise on ABC at 8/7c. Twenty-five of The Bachelor’s biggest stars and most controversial contestants are back looking for a second chance at love. They all left The Bachelor or The Bachelorette with broken hearts, but now they are back to find their soul mates. The show begins with 14 former cast members, eight women and six men, who travel to beautiful Tulum, Mexico, hoping to turn a potential summer fling into the real thing. However, in true Bachelor fashion, there is always a surprise. At the first rose ceremony, the six men are given a rose to hand out to a woman they’d like to spend more time getting to know in paradise. With an uneven number of men and women in the group, the two women left without roses are immediately sent home heartbroken. Just as potential couples start to pair up, everything changes drastically in the next episode, when two new men arrive to paradise with love on their mind. For seven weeks, each episode will alternate between two new men or women joining the cast. New relationships may form and current ones may end. Every week, the two people who don’t receive a rose will be forced to leave paradise. It’s a constant love shuffle where surprise arrivals can rekindle old romances, spark new ones or splinter existing love affairs.

Tonight is also the series premiere of King of Cones on Food Network at 8/7c. Justin Willman hosts this special four-part stunt, as top-level dessert chefs are challenged to use their skills, creativity, and ingenuity to make the most incredible ice cream treats imaginable. In each episode, a giant ice cream truck arrives with a new theme and mystery ingredient that the contestants must translate into a uniquely delicious ice cream dessert – before time runs out. Contestants must survive three heart-pounding challenges that would leave any top dessert professional screaming over ice cream, with a rotating panel of judges, including Duff Goldman, Doug Quint, Zac Young, Nancy Silverton, Johnny Iuzzini, Paulette Goto, and Natasha Case determining who advances in each round and scoops up the grand prize of $10,000. In the end, only one will be named the first-ever King of Cones!

Tonight is also the series premiere of Partners on FX at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c. Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence play two Chicago lawyers from vastly different backgrounds who unexpectedly meet in court as they each face a personal crisis. Marcus Jackson (Lawrence) is a kind-hearted community activist going through a heartbreaking divorce when he meets Allen Braddock (Grammer), an elitist lawyer who has just been fired from his father’s firm. Brought together by fate and desperation, they develop a partnership and friendship, forcing each other to find the balance between the ethical and the unscrupulous in both their professional and personal lives. Other series regulars include Telma Hopkins, Rory O’Malley, McKaley Miller, Edi Patterson, and Danièle Watts.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Jersey Belle on Bravo at 10/9c. You can take the girl out of Jersey, but you can’t take Jersey out of the girl. The show follows outspoken New Jersey native and entertainment publicist Jaime Primak Sullivan as she navigates life in the upscale Southern suburb of Mountain Brook, Alabama. Jaime’s life was turned upside down after she married Michael Sullivan, Mountain Brook’s “most eligible bachelor.” Surrounded by a fabulous group of girlfriends who want nothing more than to sculpt her into a Southern darling, Jaime tries to fit in to a world that is not ready for an unapologetic woman who likes to speak her mind – often with hilarious results. Jaime receives the utmost in sophisticated help from the women of Mountain Brook in adjusting to life in the heart of Dixie. Her friend Arden prides herself as the most traditional of the bunch but has built a very successful business for herself and is headed toward her third walk down the aisle. Always the perfectionist, Danielle, a true Southern belle to the extreme, is considered the town starlet, appearing in numerous local runway shows and magazines. Luci is newly divorced and on a journey to uncover who she truly is as a woman, all thanks to Jamie’s helping hand. With this eclectic group of friends, including country girl Scarlett, workout queen Haley and native southerner Leigh Anne, Mountain Brook will never be the same again.

Tonight is the series premiere of Top Chef Duels on Bravo at 10/9c. The show brings back the best culinary talent ever seen on Top Chef and Top Chef Masters for a gastronomic battle royale of epic proportions. Hosted by celebrity chef Curtis Stone, the newest iteration of the Emmy Award-winning franchise pits eighteen of the biggest, boldest and most talked-about personalities from past seasons against one another in high-stakes cooking challenges designed to test their passion and imagination in the kitchen. In addition to his role as host, Curtis Stone will also anchor the judges’ table with Gail Simmons, while chefs Wolfgang Puck and Hugh Acheson, along with other special guests, will round out the judging panel throughout the series. In each episode, two chefs will face-off in three rounds of head-to-head battles testing their skill, creativity and speed. Rivalries will be intensified as Top Chef Duels ups the ante and allows the competing chefs to each pick one mini-duel based on the other’s perceived weaknesses in the kitchen. The third and final challenge of each episode will decide who moves on to compete in the ultimate high-stakes season finale, where 10 chefs will be confronted with split second decisions as they lay it all on the line in the greatest challenge of their careers. In the end, only one chef will earn bragging rights and win the $100,000 grand prize and a culinary adventure that will be featured in Food and Wine Magazine.

Tonight is the series premiere of Extreme Guide to Parenting on Bravo at 9:30/8:30c. From “conscious-attachment” and “helicopter” to “hypnosis” and “push-parenting,” these moms and dads believe their parenting techniques are the best and everyone else is doing it wrong. Each hour-long episode showcases different households with alternative styles of raising their children.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Garfunkel & Oates on IFC at 10/9c. The show centers on the aspirations and misadventures of the female comedy-folk duo Riki Lindhome (Garfunkel) and Kate Micucci (Oates), and will spotlight the personal and professional lives of the duo whose career choices – singing satirical and sometimes dirty songs – leaves them with little in common with their peers, and no one but each other to turn to for support and understanding.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Black Jesus on Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) at 11/10c. The series finds Jesus living in present day Compton, CA on a daily mission to spread love and kindness throughout the neighborhood with the help of his small but loyal group of downtrodden followers. The series stars newcomer Gerald “Slink” Johnson as “Black Jesus.” The series also stars Charlie Murphy (The Chapelle Show), Corey Holcomb (The Cleveland Show), John Witherspoon (The Boondocks), Kali Hawk (Bridesmaids), Andra Fuller (L.A. Complex), Antwon Tanner (One Tree Hill), Andrew Bachelor (House of Lies), Angela Gibbs (The Fosters), and Valenzia Algarin (True Blood).

Tonight is also the series premiere of My Big Family Renovation on HGTV at 11/10c. Popular mommy blogger Jen Hatmaker and her husband Brandon, a motorcycle-riding pastor, star alongside their five kids in this new series, which chronicles the Hatmaker family as they sell their home and embark on the biggest adventure of their lives: buying a 105-year old farm house that requires them to pitch in and live through its major overhaul. The renovation includes the addition of bathrooms and a rec room as well as the conversion of old attic space into bedrooms.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Seven Deadly Sins on Showtime at 11/10c. Showtime will take an in-depth look at the weird and darkly comic world of sin in this documentary series. Executive produced and hosted by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me), the stylized series will explore each of the seven deadly sins – gluttony, sloth, envy, pride, wrath, greed and lust — one per episode and told through Spurlock’s unique and extreme lens.

Tonight is the series premiere of Human Resources on Pivot TV at 10/9c. The comedy documents the non-stop and deadline-driven world of an innovative New Jersey-based company once touted as the “coolest little start-up in America.” It’s about an eccentric entrepreneur, Tom Szaky, and his team of employees at TerraCycle, a company whose mission is to eliminate waste on a global scale. A 32-year-old businessman and Princeton University dropout, Tom’s multimillion-dollar company (which operates in 24 countries) takes anything and everything that is landfill bound – from potato chip bags to dirty diapers to cigarette butts – and recycles, up-cycles and transforms these objects into cool and functional new products. The office is a crazy mix of hippies who enjoy kale chips and morning yoga…and older and more skeptical employees who find the younger staff to be a “bit naïve.” The one thing that the team has in common is a passion for their work and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Tonight is the series premiere of Jonah from Tonga on HBO at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. After being expelled from Summer Heights High, Jonah Takalua’s father, Rocky, banished him to the island of Tongapatu to spend time with his extended family and get his life back together. But four months later, fed up with Jonah’s antics, his uncle sends him back to Sydney to enroll in yet another school, the Holy Cross School. Once again, the always impressionable Jonah finds himself adapting to a new school and fending off new foes and other delinquents, all while trying to be a “good boy.” Australia’s Chris Lilley, creator of Summer Heights High and Ja’mie: Private School Girl, brings back one of his groundbreaking characters, the rebellious 14-year-old Jonah.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Knick on Cinemax at 10/9c. New York City, 1900: The Knickerbocker Hospital is home to groundbreaking surgeons, nurses and staff who push the boundaries of medicine in a time of astonishingly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics. The newly appointed leader of the surgery staff is the brilliant, arrogant renegade Dr. John Thackery, whose addiction to cocaine and opium is trumped only by his ambition for medical discovery and renown among his peers. Into the all-white staff and patient hospital comes the equally gifted Harvard graduate Dr. Algernon Edwards, who must fight for respect while trying to navigate the racially charged city. Trying to maintain its reputation for quality care while realizing a profit, the Knickerbocker makes an effort to attract wealthy clientele, while literally struggling to keep the lights on. Starring Clive Owen, Andre Holland, Cara Seymour, Chris Sullivan, David Fierro, Eric Johnson, Eve Hewson, Grainger Hines, Jeremy Bobb, Juliet Rylance, Leon Addison Brown, Matt Frewer, Maya Kazan, & Michael Angarano.
