I am absolutely loving the new season of TV. Even when I’m having a long day, being able to watch some great new TV at night. You? Tonight’s another great night, so check out our recommendations.

My pick tonight is the season finale of Top Chef Duels. I was late to the Top Chef party, but I’m a big fan now, and this new version has been a lot of fun to watch. Pitting two former contestants against one another—generally a pairing who has something in common or some history with one another, making it even more exciting—and then having them battle each other in three challenges has been interesting. I love that, for the most part, each person wins their own battle, but the few times that contestant one won contestant two’s challenge or vice versa were definitely interesting.
On tonight’s episode, “Finale,” this is the epic showdown as the winners of each of the Duels plus the champion from the digital companion series “The Knockout” convene in the kitchen to crown a victor. In the end, only one chef will earn bragging rights and win the $100,000 grand prize and a culinary adventure that will be featured in Food and Wine Magazine.
Find out who takes home the top prize tonight on Bravo at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Hell’s Kitchen, The Mysteries of Laura, The Goldbergs, Criminal Minds, Cutthroat Kitchen, Law & Order: SVU, Modern Family, Stalker, black-ish, Chicago PD, Chopped, & Wahlburgers.

I’m not sure what is going on in Hell’s Kitchen lately, but after last week’s episode, we can see that the red team is going down in flames quickly. We watched as they struggled desperately to identify the proteins in the team challenge, then watched them bicker during the punishment, and finally, we watched as they crashed and burned during service. I was in disbelief as Kalen continued to say that she had a great service and there was nothing wrong with what she put up—was she even in the same show as I was watching? That woman deserved to go home, but honestly, I believe it’s only the beginning because the red team has started the age-old back stabbing, and it won’t be long before it makes the whole team crumble. I don’t have a favorite yet because so far, both teams are full to the brim of fools.
On tonight’s episode, “13 Chefs Compete,” the next team challenge has contestants challenged to pick their proteins as they herd farm animals into their proper pens and decide which protein and starch they will use next in the kitchen. During dinner service, tempers flare between contestants, but both teams will have to put their issues behind them as they make their dishes and serve VIP guests, including members of the Dine LA Board of Directors, Olympic gold medalist Alyson Felix and NHL player Willie Mitchell.
To see which team allows the tension to hurt them more, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching Criminal Minds, Arrow, Chopped, The Mysteries of Laura, Red Band Society, The Goldbergs, Cutthroat Kitchen, Law & Order: SVU, black-ish, Chicago PD, Stalker, and Nashville.

Tonight, FX’s creepy anthology series returns for a fourth season with an all-new story and setting in American Horror Story: Freak Show. This season takes place in 1952, as the carny way of life is starting to become a thing of the past. A circus troupe descends upon the small town of Jupiter, Florida, but the performers are finding it a daily struggle just to survive. And things get even worse when a dark force arrives in town, which threatens the lives of both the freaks and the townsfolk.
It’s not long into a season of AHS when things just get completely crazy, so I’m looking forward to seeing where this season goes. And the setting seems ripe for some really creepy and scary scenes—I mean, the clowns alone are probably enough to give most viewers the willies! Once again, the amazing ensemble cast is back in all new roles—Kathy Bates plays a bearded lady, Sarah Paulson plays conjoined twins, and the other talented returning and new faces include Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Francis Conroy, Denis O’Hare, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts, and Michael Chicklis.
On tonight’s episode, “Monsters Among Us,” police make a grim discovery at a farmhouse in the Season 4 premiere.
Measure the creep factor tonight on FX at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Survivor, Criminal Minds, Stalker, The Middle, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, black-ish, The Mysteries of Laura, Red Band Society, Arrow, The League, Top Chef Duels, and Legends.
