It’s less than two weeks until Christmas, and I for one can’t wait! My TiVo has been hovering on 90% full, and I need the midseason break to catch up on the backlog and also watch some of those fun made-for-TV holiday films. Primetime TV may be winding down for the calendar year, but we’ve still got some suggestions for you to check out tonight.
I had assumed we were done with Grimm for the year when they aired a Christmas-themed episode last week, but we get one more episode tonight before it takes its midseason break! Last week, Nick and Hank investigated a series of strange home invasions—and soon discovered that the mayhem was being caused by a trio of small green Wesen going through puberty. The cure for their wild nature was to feed the monsters lots of fruitcake. (So there is a reason why it exists!) Meanwhile, Monroe arranged for a delayed honeymoon for he and Rosalie, and Trubel decided that she was no longer needed and headed out with Josh, to train him and help him return home safely.
Wu is once again getting closer to the truth—will they finally let him know what’s really going on?! Will we see Trubel and Josh again? Juliette discovered that she got pregnant while she was Adalind—how will this affect the baby? Will it be part hexenbiest, part Grimm, or all human?
On tonight’s episode, “Chupacabra,” Nick and Hank find themselves investigating the gruesome trail left behind by a blood-sucking creature known as the chupacabra, which was brought to Portland by an unsuspecting traveler; at the same time, Monroe and Rosalee get ready to leave on their long-overdue honeymoon; Viktor and Adalind plan a trip of their own; and Wu prepares to confront Nick about what he has been seeing.
See if Wu learns the truth and if Monroe and Rosalee finally leave town tonight on NBC at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Amazing Race, Cristela, and Constantine.

I am full of excitement for a new episode of Hawaii Five-0, because a couple of weeks without it is just pure torture. The last new episode was an emotional one, as Steve watched his beloved aunt get married to her fiance, who had a shady past. It was hard to watch, wondering if his aunt was in danger, but then we saw that her man was truly in love with her. We also heard that Catherine is staying overseas, and we saw how hard this was on Steve, but he admitted that their lives were just going in different directions. I was not pleased with this news because I adore Catherine with Steve, but I understand how the story must move, and as long as I get a dose of Steve’s romantic side once in a while, I’ll be content.
On tonight’s episode, “Ke Koho Mamao Aku,” it’s Christmas in Hawaii, and Five-0 travels to the Big Island, where Max is forced to work with a rival medical examiner after a cowboy is poisoned. Meanwhile, McGarrett pressures Danny into stealing a Christmas tree.
To learn how to enjoy Christmas Five-0-style, tune in to CBS at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching The Amazing Race, Blue Bloods, Grimm, and Constantine.
