Christmas is just over a week away, and I’m actually pretty much done with my Christmas shopping—just waiting for all of the packages to arrive in the mail. However, I haven’t even started on my Christmas cards yet. Tonight, Syfy’s big three-night Ascension event comes to a close, but if you didn’t heed my advice on Monday and watch part one—or part two last night—don’t fret, because I’ve got another suggestion for tonight’s TV watching. Megan & Jenny are taking the night off, but Jenny said to watch Hot in Cleveland (their first Christmas episode) and The Exes if you’re missing the Wednesday-night comedies.
Tonight, another season of Survivor comes to a close with the show’s traditional 3-hour season finale/live reunion combo. Last week, we were down to the final 6, when it looked like Missy might have to exit the game due to an injured foot. However, she decided to stick it out, and despite her protesting, the group was finally able to pull off the big blindside orchestrated by Natalie. The group split the votes, causing a tie between Keith, Jon, and Jaclyn, and in the re-vote, Jon was sent packing, with an unused idol in his pocket. It’s unclear if he actually passed the idol to his girlfriend Jaclyn before he walked away, but I guess we’ll find out tonight. So we are down to the final 5, which includes the final pair—mother/daughter Missy and Baylor—and individuals Natalie, Keith, and Jaclyn. Will the individuals go after Missy and Baylor first, or will someone try to make a final 3 deal with the last remaining pair? I’m rooting for my Amazing Race “Twinnie” to win tonight.
On tonight’s finale, “This Is My Time,” the final five castaways compete for a spot in the final Tribal Council, where they are questioned by the jury.
To see who takes home the prize, tune in to CBS at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The 100, American Horror Story: Freak Show, Top Chef, Chrisley Knows Best, and Ascension.
