Tonight is the holiday movie A Christmas Break on Lifetime at 8/7c. School teacher Addison Tate (Cindy Sampson) wants this Christmas to be special for her kids especially since the School Board has decided that it will be the last as the school will be closing. When Addison meets Danny (Steve Byers), a Hollywood actor home to reconnect with his roots, on a Christmas tree lot, sparks fly, uniting the two to save the school from closing right before Christmas Eve.
 
Tonight is also the holiday movie Cross Country Christmas on Hallmark at 8/7c. Former classmates Lina (Rachael Leigh Cook) and Max (Greyson Holt) are traveling home for the holidays, until a storm hits and they have to work together to make it home in time, no matter the mode of transportation.
 
Tonight is also the 1-hour Garth & Trisha Live! A Holiday Concert Event special on CBS at 8:30/7:30c. Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood perform an intimate concert of seasonal music live at their home recording studio, Studio G.
 
Tonight is the 2-hour Gay Chorus Deep South special on Logo & Pop at 9/8c. The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus embarks on a tour of the American Deep South.
 
Tonight is also the 1-hour Whitney Houston: Story of Her Songs special on Reelz at 9/8c. The three tracks that cemented Whitney Houston as an indisputable music icon who redefined and changed pop music; hear from industry experts who witnessed it all.
 
Tonight is also the 1-hour The 22nd Annual A Home for the Holidays special on CBS at 9:30/8:30c. Inspirational stories of lives changed through adoption; scheduled performers include Josh Groban, Miranda Lambert, Meghan Trainor, Leslie Odom Jr. and Andrea Bocelli; host Gayle King.
 
Tonight is also a 1-hour Holiday Baking Championship “Sweet Secrets” special on Food Network at 10/9c. Judges Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman and Carla Hall look back at how the final four bakers made it to the finale, revealing the best bakes of the season and some of the slip-ups; they give an exciting behind-the-scenes view into how the show is made.
 
Tonight is also the holiday movie Project Christmas Wish on HMM at 10/9c. For years Lucy has played Santa to her small town’s community by making their holiday wishes come true. But when Lucy grants a little girl’s wish for a Christmas like she used to have with her Mom, she unexpectedly finds her own wishes coming true in life and love.
 
Tonight is also a 1-hour Diana Ross: Story of Her Songs special on Reelz at 10/9c. Tonight is the holiday movie Spotlight on Christmas on Lifetime at 8/7c. Dumped two weeks before Christmas, actress Olivia O’Hara (Tori Anderson) secretly returns to her tiny hometown to hide out, eat cookies and avoid the press. What she doesn’t expect is to be faced with the family she left behind, meeting a charming new guy Casey Rawlins (Victor Zinck Jr.), and a noisy reporter following her every move. Completely overwhelmed, Olivia contemplates running away from her life once again but with a new found confidence and freedom, Olivia bravely steps up to take the starring role in her own life, realizing that home is where the heart is and that she deserves to be loved for exactly who she really is. Tonight is the holiday movie The Christmas High Note on Lifetime at 8/7c. After being stood up by her partner Brad (William McNamara), Rachel (Jamie Luner) soon meets Michael (Johnny Messner) and his teenage daughter, Sophia. During Christmas Eve pageant rehearsals, Sophia finds herself challenged to hit the high note in her solo of Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. Rachel offers to coach Sophia’s performance and discovers a new interest in Michael. It also stars Kassandra Clementi & Madeline Grace.
 
Tonight is a 2-hour “Risk of Possession” special for The Dead Files on Travel Channel at 8/7c. A alleged demonic force is supposedly capable of possessing the living in Illinois; a disturbed spirit threatens a family’s home and business in Kansas.
 
Tonight is also the holiday movie First Christmas on OWN at 9/8c. Given up for adoption and placed in foster care at a young age, writer Halle Downing (Idara Victor, Alita: Battle Angel) receives the blessing of a lifetime when she is invited to spend Christmas in New Orleans with the biological family she never knew she had – The Moores. Halle’s grandmother “Memaw” (Tonea Stewart, A Time to Kill) welcomes the young woman with open arms, completely overwhelming Halle with emotion at the significance of finally finding her family. Overnight was the complete first season premiere of Shadow Lines on Sundance Now. Overnight was the Disney+ premiere of the feature film Soul. Pixar Animation Studios’ all-new feature film introduces Joe Gardner (voice of Jamie Foxx) – a middle-school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious soul, 22 (voice of Tina Fey), who has never understood the appeal of the human experience. As Joe desperately tries to show 22 what’s great about living, he may just discover the answers to some of life’s most important questions.
 
Overnight was also the Netflix premiere of the feature film We Can Be Heroes. When alien invaders capture Earth’s superheroes, their kids must learn to work together to save their parents — and the planet. It stars YaYa Gosselin, Pedro Pascal, & Priyanka Chopra.
 
Overnight was also the HBO Max premiere of the feature film Wonder Woman 1984. Wonder Woman squares off against Maxwell Lord and the Cheetah, a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and agility.
 
Tonight are three new specials for How It’s Made on Science Channel. At 8/7c, it’s the 30-minute “Christmas 2020” special. At 8:30/7:30c, it’s the 30-minute “World’s Greatest Holiday Desserts” special. At 9/8c, it’s the 1-hour “Football 2020” special.
 
Tonight is also a holiday movie My Sweet Holiday on Lifetime at 8/7c. When Sadie’s (Malone Thomas) boyfriend cancels their holiday plans, she decides to spend Christmas with her parents back in her hometown, only to find out they’ve sold the family’s beloved chocolate store to a stranger who knows nothing about chocolate. Begrudgingly, her father convinces her that she’d be the obvious choice to help teach the new owner everything she knows about chocolate. In the middle of planning the perfect retirement party for her parents, she discovers that not everything has to be perfect. And sometimes, when you least expect it, you find love. It also stars Jason Burkey.
 
Tonight is also a 90-minute holiday special for Call the Midwife on PBS at 9/8c. Everyone looks forward to a traditional Christmas, but things don’t go as planned; the circus arrives in Poplar, bringing new friendships, experiences and an adventure for Nurse Crane.
 
Tonight is also a 1-hour HGTV special, Surprising Santa Claus, at 9/8c. Lara Spencer, known to television fans as a regular contributor on Good Morning America and host of the hit series Flea Market Flip, will work with a team to give the town of Santa Claus the biggest Christmas present it has ever received.
 
Tonight is also a 2-hour “Top 20 Moments of 2020” special for Live Rescue on A&E at 9/8c. Matt is joined by analysts Captain Garon Mosby of the St. Louis Fire Department and Registered Nurse Dan Flynn.
