Overnight was the series premiere of Mood on AMC+, along with a second new episode. (The series is also airing on BBC America weekly at 10/9c, starting tonight with the series premiere.) This is the highly anticipated first drama series from actor, writer, and singer-songwriter Nicôle Lecky, based on her critically acclaimed Royal Court play (Superhoe). In the six-part series, Sasha Clayton (Lecky) dreams of becoming a major recording artist, but right now she’s a bedroom artist: spending her days smoking weed and stalking her ex-boyfriend (Jordan Duvigneau, My Mum Tracy Beaker) on Instagram. When she is kicked out of her family home for drunkenly trying to burn her ex’s house down, Sasha becomes homeless and is forced to fend for herself, sofa-surfing with local drug dealer Saleem (Mohammad Dalmar). Everything seems to change when she meets and moves in with Instagram influencer and party girl Carly (Lara Peake, Brave New World), who introduces her to the exciting world of making money and becoming ‘famous’ on social media. But as the gap between her online presence and her dream of being a singer continues to grow, Sasha finds herself struggling to escape this new influencer world that is more complex and darker than she could have imagined.

Tonight is the series premiere of Spector on Showtime at 9/8c. A chance encounter between charismatic actress Lana Clarkson and legendary music producer Phil Spector ended in a fatal shooting that forever warped his legacy. How could one of the most important figures in 20th century pop music also be a monster? This four-part docuseries peels back the layers of one of Hollywood’s most tragic crimes to paint a more human portrait of Lana Clarkson and the deeply disturbed man convicted of her murder.

Tonight is the series premiere of Sleeping with Death on Oxygen at 7/6c, along with a 2nd new episode at 8/7c. A compelling edge-of-your-seat new series, Sleeping with Death recounts some of the most bizarre and crazy murders in which someone wakes up to a dead body. Although the night before brought calmness and ease, the morning can sometimes bring panic, deception and blood. Was it the person sharing a home with the victim? Or was there a mysterious visitor in the middle of the night? With access to lead investigators, key witnesses and those closest to the victim, the series will uncover the secrets and truth behind each twisted murder.

Overnight was the TV movie Designing Christmas on Discovery+. Stella Murphy (Jessica Szohr) and Pablo Belmonte (Marco Grazzini) have been co-hosts of the renovation show “House Sweet Home” for six years, entertaining viewers with their sharp banter and often opposing styles, while thrilling homeowners with stunning transformations. But their latest makeover hits a lot closer to home…and this time it’s personal. After many successful seasons, “House Sweet Home” could be on the brink of cancellation as ratings have fallen. Everything is riding on the all-important Christmas episode…when the prospective homeowner suddenly backs out. With no time to find another option—and over Stella’s strong protestations—Pablo and their show’s producer, Zoe, decide on a new plan of action: they will renovate the house on which Stella just closed escrow: a Victorian home in Lexington, Virginia, that was built by her great-great grandparents in 1910. Adding to the draw, Stella’s fiancé, Jack (Mykee Selkin) suggests they combine the reveal with their own onsite wedding…live on Christmas Eve. With only a few weeks to transform the early-20th-century house that, in the early 21st century, has essentially gone to ruin, not to mention plan a wedding, Stella knows she needs reinforcements. She enlists her friend and mentor, Frederica “Freddy” Greene (Hilary Farr), who is not only an expert on historic homes but also shares Stella’s design aesthetic, which clashes with Pablo’s. Stella wants to restore the once-beautiful house, where she has so many happy childhood memories. Pablo, whose standard approach is summed up in his nickname, “The Sledgehammer,” wants to take down walls and paint or replace…well…everything. However, as the two work closely together and uncover hidden truths, about the house and each other, the foundation of their relationship begins to shift. And what began as another renovation project just might become a labor of love. The film stars Jessica Szohr as Stella Murphy, Marco Grazzini as Pablo Belmonte, Mykee Selkin as Jack Hale, Leighton Williams as Gabe, Fiona Highet as Sue Murphy, Nicole Power as Zoe, with popular HGTV star Hilary Farr as Freddy.
