Recap/Review – Teen Wolf – “Master Plan” – 8/13/12

What an intense finale! Romance, family, action, betrayal…this episode had it all. I must say, I got a little wistful hearing and seeing the awesome new theme for the last time this season, and I hope it sounds and looks even better next season if they change it. Enough tears, though. Let’s sink our fangs into this week’s show. We start the night with Mrs. McCall as she watches the paramedics pack an oozing body bag into an ambulance. The body inside is obviously Jackson, and Mrs. McCall insists on coming with, much to the dismay of one of the medics. I found it a little hard to believe that they would be able to get him onto a gurney and into the ambulance without touching some Kanima jelly and being paralyzed, but I’ll take it.

Recap/Review – Teen Wolf – “Battlefield” – 8/6/12

We begin the week with Stiles giving his thoughts on last week’s events to Ms. Morrell. He tells her that he doesn’t pity Matt at all and that even if his drowning accident was to blame for all the murders, he was still a psycho and a creeper. Flashbacks to the river crime scene show that Sheriff Stilinski got his job back, which his son explains is nice but hasn’t improved their relationship. He also hasn’t spoken to Scott since the night of the attack because he’s worried about his mother’s newfound realization that he’s a werewolf. Allison is also avoiding Scott and continues to work with Chris to bring down the pack. He confides in Morrell about feeling anxious and losing sleep, to which she replies with a completely irrelevant comparison to drowning, advising him to “not let the water in.” I’m pretty sure she’s the worst school counselor ever, which is saying a lot, because I also used to review The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Recap/Review – Teen Wolf – “Fury” – 7/30/12

Is it just me, or did this episode end really abruptly? Here I am, sitting in my office chair waiting for someone to get killed, when they just cut us off and cue the teaser trailer for next week. Alas, I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s start from the first of a million flashbacks going on it Matt’s head this week.

The first is a throwback to when Matt lent his camera to Jackson on the night of his first full moon. When he gets back to his car, he connects to his camera remotely in true stalker form. When he sees Jackson climb into bed, he thinks his sex tape suspicions have been confirmed when Jackson unexpectedly morphs into the Kanima. At this point, it doesn’t look as though Matt has become the controller, but when Jackson approaches the car and places his hand on Matt’s through the window, Matt sees Mr. Lahey’s murder.

Recap/Review – Teen Wolf – “Party Guessed” – 7/23/12

Don’t get me wrong, I love that we’re getting all sorts of answers revealed on Teen Wolf, but I have no idea how they’re gonna switch gears when they have 25 episodes ordered for Season 3 and they’re burning through Season 2 so quickly. Like the season premiere, we start the night in the shower with Lydia, who dreams that she’s standing on the lacrosse field in her formal dress, but this time, a crowd is cheering her on as Peter approaches her. Before he can attack, she sees a girl writhing in pain in the bleachers, but we don’t learn her significance in this episode.

Recap/Review – Teen Wolf – “Raving” – 7/16/12

This episode begins during the day at the school, where we see Jackson get a mysterious text in class and get into his car. The next thing we know, it’s night, and Jackson’s at the warehouse where tickets are being sold for the rave. Matt sees him and says hello, but Jackson is clearly in the Kanima mindset and doesn’t say a word as he moves to the front of the line. We see Scott peek around the corner at them, and he asks to borrow money from Matt but has no luck.

At the police station, Stiles eats dinner with Sheriff Stilinski and tries to get information out of him about the murders. His father tells him that all of the victims were twenty-four, except Mr. Lahey, who had a son named Camden who would be twenty-four if he were still alive. Stiles guesses that the victims were in the same high school class, which they confirm from a Beacon Hills yearbook from 2006. Stiles focuses on a photo of a girl, who happens to be selling tickets for the party at the warehouse. Jackson buys a ticket from her and seems to thoroughly creep her out.
