This weekend was kind of odd for me… My sleep schedule is screwy, so I’ve been taking long naps during the day (sleeping, but since it’s daytime, I’m calling it naps. lol), and have been up at night. I’m ok doing that for a while, but man, I think it’s catching up with me. My eyes feel like sandpaper. My kid has a science project he’s working on, but it calls for a soluble starch. Now, we looked all over, and as best we could figure out, cornstarch should have worked. We heated it like we read we’d need to, but then when he added the iodine solution to it trying to get a reaction, it never changed color. So…back to the drawing board—and to his science teacher. We’re hoping she knows what she’s doing enough to help the kid figure out what he should be using. Any scientists out there want to chime in? LOL Anyway, it’s a slower week this week, but there is some FABULOUS stuff on tonight, so let’s get to it! Here’s what we think you should be watching tonight.
Jenny’s Choice #1
O-M-G. Castle fans—or more specifically, Caskett shippers—make sure you are sitting down. Tonight is going to be a great episode. One of the clips I’ve seen made me squee like a school girl. Seriously. This show has really been growing and maturing and developing across the board over the last season and a half. The last episode was kind of a big test for Castle and Beckett—as a team working together to solve crimes and as a possible future couple. When the mayor came under suspicion of murder, Beckett was told by Captain Gates to basically treat him with respect, but not to pussyfoot around and not go after him when evidence pointed to him simply because he was the mayor and Castle’s friend. In the end, it was Wendell—or rather, Jordan Norris—who had done the deed. The damage was done, though. Between the investigation for murder and the investigation into skimming funds, the mayor’s bid for higher office was curtailed. Now, that’s a good thing, since to protect Beckett regarding her mother’s case, Castle has to be there with her, working at the station. If the mayor is gone, so is Castle. Eek. All in all, it was a great episode, and there were some fantastic moments from everyone.
On tonight’s episode, “An Embarrassment of Bitches,” when a famous dog trainer is killed, the investigation keeps coming back to charismatic reality TV star Kay Cappuccio (guest star Hilarie Burton, White Collar, One Tree Hill). Kay, a favorite of tabloids and gossip websites the world over, has achieved stardom without possessing any discernible skill or talent. But there seems to be more to her story than she is letting on – does that include murder? Justin Hartley (Smallville) guest stars as Reggie Starr, Kay’s boyfriend, and Nana Visitor (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) plays Dr. Patty Barker, an eminent therapist whose talents are called upon when it’s discovered that one of her clients witnessed the murder.
