As I write this up, the KC Royals are down by 1 at the top of the 2nd. Eek. On the regular TV front, I’m still loving the new season and I’m still shocked we haven’t had any cancellations yet! So enjoy it while you can because I can’t imagine that’ll last. For tonight, check out our recommendations.

I’m still enjoying black-ish on ABC. Last week was all about the “nod” and Junior not having any black friends. When Dre realized his son didn’t nod at another black student as they walked by one another, he set out to get his son some black friends. The funniest part was when he drove by a group of black teenagers and stopped, seemingly trying to “lure” them into his car and to his house. Also funny was the very odd/strange/slightly offensive guy he met at work. When he and his son came over to Dre & Rainbow’s house for dinner, his son and Junior got along well…but not because of their skin color. Dre realized it was because they shared the same interests. He’d been about to kick the co-worker out for getting into his closet and wearing his shoes that even he’d never worn, but once he saw Junior and his new friend, he realized it was a sacrifice he was willing to make—very sweet.
On tonight’s episode, “Crazy Mom,” when Dre agrees to take over Rainbow’s “mom” duties for a week, the overwhelming praise he gets from everyone at his kids’ school goes to his head. He soon finds himself pushing the envelope to outdo everyone, even the school’s “crazy mom.”
