The start of a new week—the last week in January. Holy shitake mushrooms! Where did the time go? I was supposed to spend the weekend working on getting a house ready to sell, but I decided to be self-indulgent for once and enjoy my kid-free time at home by myself. I read some hilarious blogs, ate Oreos for brunch, and watched TV that I was behind on. (Yes, and missed my kids… I can’t help it. They’re loud, crazy, and messy, but they’re mine.) Now it’s time to settle in for some new TV before the week of early morning wake-ups for school and battles over hair brushings begin. Let’s see what you should be watching tonight…because we told you so. (Sorry. 😉 Missed using my Mom voice this weekend.)
Megan’s Choice #1
Tonight, I’ve decided to choose two things you should be watching. Why? Because I can. The first suggestion for tonight is the 19th Screen Actors Guild Awards. For those of you who love to look at sparkly dresses and gossip around the water cooler the next day about what everyone was wearing, who was seen with whom, and who had the best/worst acceptance speeches, I’ll be watching, too. These are the awards where actors vote on which of their peers should win. It’s nice to see them all getting along. This year, Dick Van Dyke will be receiving the Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award—and rightfully so. He’s done a lot of amazing movies and television.
On tonight’s awards show, they’ll be celebrating the finest acting achievements and handing Dick Van Dyke his award for lifetime achievement.
To gasp and giggle over the event, tune into TBS and TNT at 8/7c.

Hi, guys. Slowly but steadily, the new seasons are starting up again. And I’m glad some comedies had their premiere last week – Parks and Recreation & Up All Night were great, and I really love Go On. And next week, Castle and Fringe! I wonder how I’m going to keep up with everything next to college duties. But first, tonight, we’re getting a new Doctor Who!
Last week on Doctor Who, we saw Ben Browder (I have loved him since Farscape) in a guest spot as the sherrif of Mercy. I thought the episode was great entertainment, but it did waste Amy and Rory a little bit. I do love how the show is focusing on how the Doctor changes when he travels alone too much.
Tonight, on “The Power of Three,” the show tells the story from Amy’s and Rory’s point of view and will be their penultimate episode. When the Earth is invaded by small black cubes which seem to do, well, nothing at all, the Doctor has to show patience to save the planet. And on top of that, he moves in with Amy and Rory.

Hi, guys. This week has been crazy for me, and with the fall season starting up again, I really have to make sure to keep up with all my shows. This week, I loved the premiere of The X Factor, but only because of Britney. Tonight, we have the start of the year at my dance studio, and I’m really looking forward to it. But first, a new episode of Doctor Who.
Last week’s episode of Doctor Who was crazy. The dinosaurs were awesome and somewhat cute, and the spaceship was actually from the Silurians. And after tonight, there are only two more episodes left with the Ponds.
Tonight, on “A Town Called Mercy,” the Doctor finds himself in a western town under siege by a Cyborg.

Hey, everybody. It’s the weekend, so tell me… How was your week? College started back up again, so I’m getting back into the rhythm of studying and am spending some time studying at home today. And my brother and his wife are celebrating their birthdays tonight, so I’ll be partying it up.
Doctor Who has started again! I couldn’t be more excited. Last season, I was very disappointed with the goodbye Amy and Rory got, but their story will continue for another few episodes this season. And the biggest surprise last week was the appearance of Jenna-Louise Coleman as Oswin as a Dalek. It will be very interesting how she will fit into the story as the new companion to the Doctor. I expect some timey-whimey-stuff there.
On tonight’s episode, “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship,” the Doctor, Amy, and Rory will be accompanied by Rory’s father, Queen Nefertiti, and an English explorer and land on a large spaceship that contains dinosaurs.

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, and Happy Holidays to those who don’t! It may be Christmas, but there are a couple of noteworthy things on, so Kyle & I wanted to make sure you were aware! I’m not listing it, but if you are a fan of The Next Iron Chef, Geoffrey Zakarian, who won last week, is competing for the first time as an Iron Chef tonight on Food Network at a special time of 9/8c. Now, here’s what we think you should be watching tonight with your family!
Leverage is one of those shows that rarely disappoints me. I enjoy seeing Nate & his gang work to take down the bad guys and help the wronged party get what they deserve. The last couple of episodes were fun, because we got to see the girls as the main focus two weeks ago, and then last week, we caught the boys’ side of things. It was interesting putting together the two episodes in my head into one big episode. For the last season and a half, especialy, we’ve seen relationships grow and change. Parker and Hardison are quickly becoming the couple you can’t help but love and root for. Nate and Sophie, on the other hand, have had a bumpy ride. He needs to figure out what he wants and she needs to figure out if she can handle Nate as a functioning alcoholic who has a rough history he isn’t quite over.
On tonight’s episode, “The Lonely Hearts Job,” while searching for a philanthropist’s missing wife, the team comes up against a grifter ring running a web of sophisticated Sweetheart Scams.” Now, Nate must learn how to steal hearts… or risk losing Sophie’s for good.
Check it out tonight on TNT at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Leverage @ Clicker.
